you've managed to reached the gate
but once it shuts
you know you'll never return
do you look back
or keep your gaze straight
staring into the dark void
in which you're blinded
by the pain you've brought
amongst yourself
one last look as crying eyes meet
the gate creeps shut
w
ith all the strength you have left
goodbyes are the hardest when
they're to someone you love
