Jimin comes out of his room as he hears the door close. He takes a seat on his couch and starts bitterly sobbing to himself. Why was he hurting? Wasn't it for the better that Jungkook and Namjoon were getting along? What was happening to him? All these questions clouded his head, making it even harder for him to not lose his cool. Jimin was a really sensitive person and even though he had the intellectual ability to deal with the hardest situations he was put in, this time he was attacked emotionally and he couldn't figure out anything by himself.

The blonde started fiddling with his phone as a distraction and immediately stops as a name pops up on his screen. He accepts the phone call and places the device near his ear, his hands shaking in fear. The voice he heard on the other side was as painful as his own. "Jimin," he pauses, "What did the cops-"
"They said he was charged for murder, Mr. Kim."
"Murder of?"
"Kim Yiwha."
"I knew it. After all, it was Seokjin." An eerily long pause takes place before he speaks again, "Jimin, I need you to do something. I know it's a huge favor but as his best friend, I hope you understand that he couldn't have done something so horrific."
"Yes, Sir. He understands the responsibility on his shoulders. He's my best friend, I know him well."
"Meet me at the cafe outside the library in 10 minutes."
"Sure." And with that, he hung up.

The word 'Best Friend' never ceased to not hurt him. Taehyung had promised that within a few months he'll let his father know about their relationship but until then, Jimin had to endure the pain of that very word he hated with all his might. Unlike the situation, this was least of his concerns. Collecting up all of his will power, he prepares himself to leave the comforts of his house and rushes to the cafeteria.

Jungkook and Namjoon were silently taking a walk, trying to clear their minds until they both notice the blonde leaving in a hurry. They were nervous about what he was going to do but the elder trusted Jimin and so, he stopped the brunette from following him. "Hyung! Let me go!" The younger tries to free himself from the strong grip.
"Jungkook, leave him alone."
"But what if he harms himself? What if he-"
"Trust me, he's the only person who knows what's best to do in this situation." The grip loosens as Namjoon says his next words, "You're still madly in love him, aren't you?"
There was silence but Jungkook had made up his mind.
"I am not in love with Park Jimin." He says, the concrete floor in his view.
"Look into my eyes and say it."
"I am not in love with Park Jimin!" Tears trek down his pale cheeks as he yells, "I don't love him anymore! If anything I received from him, it was the hurt of him not belonging to me!"
"I know." Namjoon embraces the other in a hug, now both of their heartbeats in sync but in an inhumane pace, "I know the pain, Jungkook-ah." And they both wept in the silence.

All they hoped was the pain to end. Was it too much to ask for?
