The air was chilled, not pleasant at all. Dark clouds were taking over as Jungkook made his way home. A lot of things were on his mind. For example, Namjoon. Was it only bromance? All the moments he had with the elder were playing in his head, bringing him a gentle smile. He starts strolling into a garden lost in his thoughts until he feels slight droplets on his shoulders. Looking up at the sky, he laughs, "I think I know this feeling." He says.

Keys dangle as he unlocks his door but he freezes in his spot in utter shock once he sees a masculine figure seated on the couch. 
"You know I hate it when someone enters my place without my permission."
"So I'm someone now?" Hoseok gets up and makes his way towards his younger brother.
"You haven't been back home in years. Do you still expect me to act polite towards you? You betrayed us for that bitch, hyung."
"Don't you dare-"
"Yes, I fucking dare. 'Jung' Hoseok, you're nothing but a piece of trash on this fucking planet. You have no clue how our foster parents suffered while looking for you. That bitch didn't do any good to you, did she? That fucking whore. She cheated on you twice, hyung, but you still decided that trusting her would be a great choice no matter how many times she fucked you up."
"Jungkook," The elder's eyes filled with tears, "Please baby, give me a chance."
"I love you so much, brother. I missed you so much." Jungkook embraces the other in a hug as the salty water makes his eyesight blur, "Please don't leave us again. Ma and pa need you."

The next few hours were spent chit-chatting, catching up on each other's lives. Hoseok was happy being back. The calmness family provided, he could find it nowhere else. He was guilty of the decisions he made in the past but he moved on, genuinely. But he had no idea what kind of a roller coaster ride his little brother's life had become.

"After you got enlisted in the police, Ma got very sick but she didn't inform you because she thought you wouldn't be able to focus on your job. After 2 years, she sent me here, to the hostel." Jungkook completes.
"What about papa? How's he?"
"He still receives a huge amount of pay every month. Everything's fine but he almost spent his life savings finding you."
"Guess what, Jungkookie."
"What?"
"I've been transferred to the FBI headquarters. I'm the chief now."
"How?!"
"While I was away, I was still doing my job behind the local lawyers. The sheriff of the city was proud of me and decided to send my reviews to the head."

The conversation goes on until the clock hits 12 and both males decide to go to bed. The younger cuddles up next to Hoseok and they close their eyes, "Hyung." He breaks the silence.
"Yes?"
"Are you aware of the case-"
"Kim Taehyung."
"How'd you know?"
"It's been spreading like wildfire all around."
"What do you know about it?"
"I can't give out confidential information, Jungkook."
"What if I come with our lawyers?"

"I'll let you know everything you need."
