-Ava’s POV-

Over the next few weeks, I heard nothing from Dan. Which should have calmed me down, but in my mind it just meant he was staying away to brew up some plan. Work, luckily, took up my mind and Harry, of course, was a good distraction too.

In the time we’d been together, life had become so much better. It was difficult with him being busy a lot, and the attention he got from girls was a bit overwhelming at times, but nothing, and I mean nothing, could outdo the way he made me feel.

I’d loved before, but this was different. Some moments it was hot, rugged passion, others it was beyond sweet and romantic. The perfect balance. And at the root of it all, Harry had become my best friend.

I had been spending a lot of time at the boys house in town and was getting closer to the boys as well. The more time I spent with them the more it was evident why they were so ridiculously popular all over the world. These boys held onto their roots and adored their fans so much. They were so funny and humble and charismatic. It all made sense.

That night the boys were planning to have a little party to celebrate finishing the next album. I was helping to get the decorations ready when i felt two hands reach around my waist to my stomach. Harry’s hands, definitely, he was resting his head on my back as I was up on a ladder trying to pin things to the wall.

“Harry! You scared the shit out of me!”

“Sorry love”, he said with his raspy voice that just SLAYED me. He’d just woken up from a nap and had that groggy, still half asleep look about him. I swear I wanted so badly to do dirty things to him. But we hadn’t gotten there. Maybe because of his work or my work taking up time. But that couldn’t be it. We spent loads of time together. Now I was thinking too much into it. What if Harry just didn’t want me that way? No. All guys think that way. They all think with their heads. And not the one on thei shoulders. I mean, right?

“Uh. Ava? Earthhhhhhh to AVA!”

“Sorry Harry”, I responded, “Just going through what is left to be done before people arrive. Who all is coming anyway?”

“Well, I invited Ed, Grimmy, Cara, Josh, Gemma is bringing a bunch of her friends, and I know the boys have invited a bunch of people too.”

“Gemma?” I asked. All of a sudden I had a lump in my throat. Harry’s sister seemed lovely and we had Skyped with her a few times, but I’d never officially met her and this made me nervous. I always did well with boyfriends family’s but this was just stressing me out.

“Ava. She will adore you like I do. Well, not quite like I do hopefully. No need for competition between the Styles siblings.”

I grinned at his obnoxious joke and hit him on the shoulder.

“Uh, okay, you good here? Because I need to run out really quick and get some stuff for the party.”

“Like what? I think we already got everything Harry.”

“Just some stuff like extra stuff I’m sure we forgot. Just to make sure, you know.”
