So, We're Now Heroes?

Chapter 7

Rin's POV

A vein popped out of my forehead as I looked at the two idiots in front of me.

"Would you guys stop roasting marshmallows on top of the school's roof?!" I yelled as I smack both of them in the head, they yelled an "ow" and rubbed their heads.

"Fiiineee." Yin said as she ate the marshmallow she just made.

Joichiro made the fire disappear from his hand and stretched as he stood up. Ever since he got his powers 4 days ago, we discovered that he could summon flames onto his hand and not get burned. Which was the next day after he got his powers

Flashback

We were roaming around the academy's garden while the building was getting fixed from yesterday's attack, Yin kept looking at Joichiro which made him uncomfortable.

"Hey, what happened to your sword?" Yin said with her hands behind her back.

"I'm not really sure, after we went back to our world it suddenly disappeared. Wait, didn't the same thing happen to you?" Joichiro said then turned to Yin in a questioning look.

"What are you talking about?" She asked as she raised a brow.

"Remember that red crown you got when you defeated that shadowy figure?" He said as he demonstrated a crown.

"Ahh..... Wait, what did happen to it?" We facepalmed.

"Did you seriously forgot about it? You bragged about it afterwards." I said sighing. She just laughs awkwardly.

"Let's go ask Merlin! Maybe he knows!" She said as she grabbed our wrists and started running. 

After running around we finally found him sitting down and having tea. Yin let our wrists go and ran towards Merlin, she sat down and ate the pastries that were there. Me and Joichiro walked towards them and took a seat.

"Hoho, and may I ask why you have come to find me?" Merlin asked as he held his teacup.

"Well, yesterday I got the Flame King's sword, the armoured dude we fought. And when the three of us went back to our world the sword disappeared." Joichiro said.

"The same for me too! The Blood Crown I got from a certain monster, disappeared the next day." Yin said after swallowing the pastries.

"And now they're wondering how they could get it back." I said drinking my tea. Merlin just chuckles and finishes his drink.

"It's very easy, how about let's go to your house near the forest?" Merlin said standing up, we all stood up and went to our place.

-time skip-

We were now standing at the spacious backyard beside the garden, Merlin stood in front the three of us and he cleared his throat before speaking.

"Ahem, what you need to do is just turn your wrist, like your turning a door knob. To summon that object your speaking about you can do anything you want to bring it out your palms." Merlin said.

Joichiro went first, he turned his wrist and flames appeared. He then brought his other hand towards his flaming hand, and it looked like he was grabbing something.

The hand that was not it flames, slowly separated from the flaming hand and slowly the sword appeared. It looked like the sword was coming out his hand. 

Yin looked amazed and wanted to do it now, she turned her wrist and shadows were going out of control on her palms, it looked like there was dry ice on her palms. But black.

She then clasped her hand together and put above her head, she then separated them and since her shadows were emitting black smoke it wasn't very clear to see. When the smoke disappeared a blood red glowing crown was seen on top of her head.

"This is dope, I feel like a magical girl in those kid's shows" Yin said as she looked at her palms. Joichiro nods in agreement, I kinda feel out of place but it's fun watching them act even more childish than they usually are.

"I want the both of you to turn your wrists again." Merlin said, they both did what they were told.

"Good, now aim and throw it like a ball or a rock." He said demonstrating with his hand. They both nod.

Yin went first, she looked around as to where she could throw. She saw one tree in the forest and threw it towards it, the tree got hit by her shadow and it wilted really fast. It looked like a dangerous type of acid made contact with it.

Joichiro went next, he threw his flames on the ground he was at. Flames erupted from the ground and the grass was now burnt. 

"Welp, that's all I can teach for now. You have to discover the rest for yourselves, good luck." He said as he turned his wrist and a ball of energy was on top of his palm, he then aimed and threw it at the ground. Smoke was made and when the smoke disappeared so did Merlin.

"YOO!! DID HE JUST TELEPORT?!?!" Yin yelled flailing her arms around.

"That was cool." Joichiro said.

-End of flashback-

And that's where we are now, on top of the school's roof roasting marshmallows. We headed towards our classroom when we noticed the clouds were becoming grey.

We entered and sat down on our seats, rain started to pour and rumbling from the clouds could be heard. Suddenly thunder struck which made us all jump, just then the lights went out.

"Damn. The lights are out." A guy said.

"The clouds are really dark for some reason, as if it's black." A girl said.

"It's still afternoon but I could barely see anything." Another girl said.

Just then thunder struck again, but it sounded it was really close to us. Everyone jumped and some screamed to the sudden noise. We then heard the door made some noise, we could barely see and weren't sure if there was someone there.

Flashes of light from the sky appeared which gave us light for a bit, we saw a silhouette which made almost all of us scream. Just then the lights came back and we saw who was at the door.

"Oh, it's just class rep!" A guy said.

"Geez, class rep! You gave us a scare!" A girl said sighing while putting a hand to her chest.

"Sorry, sorry. I brought everyone drinks since the teachers were having a meeting about this thunderstorm." She said.

"Wow! Really? Thanks!" Everyone said.

She passed everyone the drinks she brought, Me, Yin, and Joichiro were the last ones who were given, when she gave it to us there was something unsettling about her. 

We drank it and we noticed a strange taste in the drink.

"Don't drink this!!" Yin suddenly yelled as she stood up from seat, we all looked at her. One by one everyone started to pass out, Yin suddenly passed out so did Joichiro. And it was my turn, my vision became blurry. But I could still see.

I could see the sickening smile that was plastered on her face.

The class rep's face.

I then passed out.
