This book is my attempt at inspiring the people around me. There is a high chance that you might find some of it cheesy. I think this is unfortunate, because it just points to the jaded state of our society today. Optimism is viewed as corny, while complaining about the sad state of affairs is considered the norm. How are we supposed to be happy if all we see are things to complain about?
Thing is, I wish someone would have said some of these things to me when I was growing up. In retrospect, I had a pretty good childhood, yet I have so many memories of being miserable. It took me decades to find my inner awesomeness. This could have happened much sooner if only I'd changed my way of thinking.
Having an open mind is an absolute requirement. None of the things I tell you will make any bit of difference if you immediately dismiss the ideas. Soften your hold on what you think you know. Be open to the possibilities of different beliefs. None of our modern technology would even exist if inventors closed their minds to new ideas.
My challenge to you is to change your way of thinking. It can be done. I will show you how.
