Chapter 5

Rose's POV

I woke up to the sound of the alarm today like it was the worst thing I have ever heard. I don't wanna get out of bed.

It's Monday again. But today is not a typical Monday. It's even worse. I stayed up all night and thought about it. This day is the day that I will come out to my best friend and to the love of my life, Lalisa Manoban.

This might be the worst day of my life. I'm really nervous, but I decided that I would let her know. She deserves to know.

I heaved a sigh and forced myself out of my bed.

-Fast forward to 1 pm-

It's time for my last class. As usual, I arrived earlier than our teacher. A little later, Jisoo arrived and sat beside me. Jisoo is my other best friend. I met her a few years ago at Glee Club. We both like to sing and it's really fun being around her. She's also the only person who knows about my secret.

She smiled at me and said, "Hey, Rosie."

"Hey, Jisoo." I leaned in a little closer and whispered, "I have something to tell you."

"Yep?"

"I'm going to tell Lisa that I'm gay."

"What!?" She said a little too loud. A few of our classmates glanced our way.

Suddenly, our teacher walked in. But he wasn't alone. Beside him was a a really pretty girl. She has long black hair, pale white skin, and she was all dressed in black. She looks quite mysterious.

"She has pretty eyes," Jisoo whispered.

I nodded. That stood out about her.

"Good afternoon, everyone." Mr. Yang said. "Today, we will be joined by a new transfer from New Zealand. Everyone, meet Jennie Kim."

"Hi, everyone. Nice meeting you all," she said smiling. Then she took a seat.
