Yoora's POV

After that short second of silence, Mr. Kwon just looked down and laughed brightly. Not knowing what to say, I just awkwardly laughed along. I noticed that his laugh kind of sounded... unique. I thought it was kind of like a windshield wiper. It was cute, to me.

When he gradually stopped laughing, he gestured, "Well, let's start by going to the first launch lab. There are some extra tech and gadgets there that you will get to see, and if you would like to, you may try out some."

"Oh, really? I would like that very much!"

As we walked to the outdoors, Mr. Kwon asked, "So, Miss Yoora, will you consider working in the field of rocket science? What type of job, if?"

"To be honest, I- uh, I haven't really thought of my future yet. You know, anything can happen, so I don't want to go too far into it yet. But I'll definitely put rocket engineering at the top of my list." I responded hastily.

Mr. Kwon chuckled. "I do understand what you mean. Everything is unpredictable. The next thing you know, you could be falling into the ground." Right after he said that, the floor collapsed under my feet.

I screamed, thinking I was gonna die. I quickly grabbed onto the nearest thing and held on for dear life. It wasn't until a few seconds later that I realized we were on a clear glass elevator. Realizing that I wasn't in danger, I released my death grip. Wow, just how many elevators did this building hide?

Wait, just what was I holding? Turning my head, my eyes met the amused face of Mr. Kwon. I screamed again, this time just out of shock.

His windshield wiper laugh loudly echoed throughout the small space. "-Ha hahahaha- ahhahahaha-. T-that was hilarious!" He giggled like a kid who just played a impetuous prank.

"S-stop it please, I'm already really embarrassed." I laughed while speaking. The descending came to a sudden stop as we landed at an underground lab where some of the most wildest technology were kept, including the newest development, The Mirror, which had the ability to look into other universes.

I felt so jubilant to be in this mesmerizing place. Mr. Kwon beamed at my expression. "Miss Yoora, welcome to Lab 01983 - Wonder." He led me through the infinite phenomenal objects. Finally, he stopped at a huge, gold-rimmed mirror hanging on the spotless, white wall. "This," he pointed at it, "is The Mirror." I gasped with joy.

"Go ahead, try it. It's already pre-set at another planet, completely ready to try. The place it's at is called Earth, in our parallel universe. It holds very close similarities to our planet, almost the same, however just in a different universe. All you need to do is go up to the mirror and walk into it. You can look for about 15 seconds before returning to the platform."

Nodding, I anxiously stepped one foot into the mirror before plunging myself all in, awaiting the glory beyond my eyes.

A flash glistened in my sight, and before I knew it, I was met with a calm, quiet evening. Twilight was furtively approaching the city. I gaped and admired the view of the city lights from the platform, seeing the roads and many strange things that looked so interesting. I knew the time limit was almost out, so I enjoyed the moment when I could.

Just then, a loud beeping filled my ears as the stage abruptly began to fade under my feet. "What's happening?" I yelled with fear.

"Miss, there seems to be a malfunction with the system, it won't let us take you ba-." Before the worker could finish his sentence, the platform vanished and without any warning, I was tumbling down into the open air.
