Sherlock tried to stop her, but to no prevail. Alexis stomped out of the hospital and stood outside, breathing in the cold air. She felt tears start to prick at her eyes again and squeezed them shut. She didn't want to cry again. Not here.

She started down the street, trying to walk as calmly as she could. Before she realized what she was doing, she was sprinting down the sidewalk, weaving in and out of people. Her vision was blurred with tears and her legs felt like jelly, but she couldn't stop.

She reached Clissold Park and collapsed into a heap on the park bench, bringing her knees up to her chest. Sobs violently racked through her body as she buried her face in her hands. She clenched her fists in her hair and screamed, causing a few people to look at her.

She finally wiped the tears from her eyes and stood up. She knew what she had to do now. She looked through her phone for a number and held it to her ear as she started away from the park.

"Miss Moriarty. What a pleasant surprise. Is everything alright?"

"Mycroft. I need your help." Alexis replied as she held her head high. She was done playing games. She needed answers, and she needed them now. "I need to find my mother."
