Chapter Thirty Two | Two Guilds Become One

The kids were gone.I saw Juvia's eyes water,and Erza turned away from everyone for a few minutes.We were too late.We failed to protect the kids,and Macao.I sighed,Macao...I glanced over at Romeo whose eyes were clouded over."We need to find the Dragons Heart!Somewhere in the caves there is a set of bones that belong to a dragon that died.Thats where Hisao is,has anyone got any ideas?"I asked.My voice seemed to echo off the walls.The silence was deafening,all I wanted to do was throw up.

"The middle of Magnolia.Its gotta be!"

"What about where the old guild was built?"someone else suggested.I thought for a minute,they didn't sound right.I had to think!Where would the Dragons Heart be?"Underneath the guild..."whispered Romeo.I looked at him,he looked at me and grabbed my arms.His eyes were wild and wide."Underneath the guild!He said the dragons heart,right?The heart of the guild are our pride for the three dragon slayers!Im going on a guess,but think!"said Romeo.My eyes widened.

"Erza!Erza!The guild,it's under the guild!The dragons heart is the guild!"

Erza looked up,so did Jellal."How do you know this?"asked Erza.She stood up,she appeared strong but we knew she was scared and worried for her youngest daughter."Think about it,the guild is Natsu,Gajeel's and Wendy's heart.They're the dragons and the guild is their heart!"said Romeo,he looked around.A few mumbled about that being a true possibility.Erza thought for a minute.

"It makes sense,but we can't be sure.I don't believe Hisao would hide under the guild,after all we'd sense some magical power."

"Who'll go underneath guild?"asked Gray,Erza thought for a minute.We couldn't wait any longer,we needed to find Hisao and we needed to find him now.Everyone was hesitant,looking at Erza.She shook her head,"I don't believe that's where Hisao is hiding.I'll still like to check,you and Romeo can check.Carla can go with you,we'll send other groups out to check other possible areas.Leave now,"said Erza.I nodded,this was the best we'd get.Maybe she was right,maybe under the guild was too obvious.

"Carla,Romeo!"

The two turned to me,in a matter of a few minutes and a few hesitant goodbyes,we were off.Carla flew high above us,a few dozen metres ahead as well.She'd warn us of any issues.Romeo and I was we're running quickly,but making sure to run at a pace that wouldn't tire us out.I wiped the sweat away from my forehead.Romeo looked at me,"tell me if your getting tired.I can carry you,"said Romeo.I shook my head in reply.

"Your pregnant,don't you get tired easily?"

I laughed,"I'm roughly two months Romeo.I can't really tell,but I know that I'm in the first trimester.Ill be fine,"I reassured.Romeo nodded and then turned back.I began focusing on breathing deeply,the more air I took the easier it was for me to run.I was stopped suddenly by Romeos hand.Above me I saw Carla,staring off into the distance.Then she quickly flew down to us and pushed us behind a rock.

"What was that for?"

Carla pushed her paw against my mouth,I looked and saw a group of men walking by.I froze,trying hard to slow my breathing.They walked past us,although even as I tried listening I couldn't understand what they were saying.I looked at Romeo,he was frowning.I rubbed my hands together and then waited for the groups footsteps to fade.I stood up and looked around,it was clear.

"They were coming from the direction of the guild,I believe maybe you were right Romeo."

I agreed with Carla.We continued more carefully,making sure we were always close to something that could hide us.I was listening carefully,smelling the air.For what seemed like hours we jumped from hiding spot to hiding spot.I knew for sure Romeo was right.

I was blasted with cool fresh air in a matter of moments,I shivered.It wasn't right,the ground was going down which meant the air should've been stale.I looked over at Romeo,he looked at me and nodded.I looked at Carla,who was carefully flying above us trying to spot the source of cold air.Then she gasped,she held her paws over her mouth and looked down.She was looking down somewhere to the left.I sped up and followed her eyes,she was looking into a large cave.Dozens upon dozens of people were chained to the wall or bars,some even in cells.My hands flew to my face.I searched the room,looking for my son.My heart fell when I realised he wasn't there.

"This is close to Fairy Tail,look above us.Theres pipes sticking out from the dirt and stone."

I looked at the pipes,then looked around the room.Many of the people weren't from Fairy Tail,but Lamia Scale."Carla,Romeo and I will go to the right and see if anyone else is there.You try to unlock as many members as you can,"I said.Carla nodded and we jogged into the opposite direction.Instantly I knew there were people there.I heard the chilling voices drift through the cave.

I looked down into another large cave,I instantly recognised Macao and many other fairy tail members.I rejoiced,but looking down the steap hill i saw how many guards there were.Soon i heard wings,i looked behind me and saw Carla."Natsu and the other dragon slayers are coming Wendy.The guilds are coming,"informed Carla.I looked down,wanting to cry.Where was he?Where was my son?My eyes watered,Romeo looked at me and put his hand around my waist.He kissed the top of my forehead."We'll get him Wen,dont you worry,"reassured Romeo.I nodded,leaning into his touch.

"Hey!What are you doing here?!"

I whipped around,seeing a group of guards.We couldnt wait,we had to fight.Romeo didnt hesitate,he ran forward and slammed into the men,slashing at them.An alarm sounded loudly,blaring so loud it hurt.People from below looked around in hope,i turned to Carla."Go Carla,get people out of here!"i yelled.I didnt see or hear her reaction as another heavy body slammed into me,i fell onto my butt where i had to jump up quick to avoid being burnt by a fire mage.

Romeo was fighting as hard as he could,whipping around taking man after man down.I began to help him clear the group,praying to mavis that we could get through this.I heard in the distance people running,i pleaded for mavis again.For her strength to guide us through the battle without a death,without any major injuries,for guidance.I slashed at another mage,pushing them back.They skidded,revealing their true identity.A girl no older then eighteen.She was crying,she wasnt used to the pain of burns and grazes and gaping wounds.I left her alone,but before i could continue to fight the world around me went black.Was i fainting?The world swirled around me and before i knew it i was gone.
