Chapter 2

The eye on the bridesmaids

A book is incomplete without funny scenes. Just like life,- Life being told by a teen

Holy shit!

I forgot that I had a dress trial of my sister Katie's wedding. The wedding is in late September.

Sorry! I said to this old lady as I didn't let her cross the street. Today is not your lucky day.

Dam stupid signal. It's like my all the things in the universe reunited the very same day to spill all the trouble on me.

As I drove like lunatic, I completely ignored the rules.

Don't panic! It just made me panic more. God as I got stuck in the traffic, I couldn't help but go through some unwanted facts about my life.

My mom wanted everything to be perfect for her only daughter who she knows that will marry. Haha.( Sarcasm sometimes becomes our new best friend!) Katie is a girly version of me. We're different but aside that, I knew I could trust her. We have been inseparable until puberty hit us with gigantic hormones and our choices soon changed. Our trains got new destinations and our life got a new meaning. She was an example of a confident, carefree, colourful, bubbly woman while I was a freak, uptight and conservative. She wanted to live her life the way she wanted. She was popular at school for her beauty and outgoing personality and I, for being that chick that got the best marks and the one who rants and scares the boys away.

I didn't even realize I was already in the shop when a red haired girl my age said something.

"Hello. How can I help you?"

"Han?" I snapped.

"Hi! I am Sherley. I am the receptionist here. I was asking, how can I help you?" The receptionist said with no hint of irritation in her voice. Instead, she just smiled.

I was going to answer her when she interrupted me.

"Getting a nice view?" She asked me like it's the most exciting thing in the world.

In her world. Not in mine.

"Yeah but there is nothing new. Same old New York traffic. Nothing exciting. "I said with a bored expression.

She looked at me weirdly but suddenly she changed her expression. Then she did was I least expected.

She winked at me. Not that ow-a-normal-girls-wink but an ow-I-wanna-do-that-with-you kind of wink. But then finally it something hit me

I realized I was staring at her chest while I zoned out. I mentally groaned!

Now she was those kind of girl who would just lean to the counter just to set the record of biggest boobs in the world.

"Own. I am here for dress trial of Katie Reed." I shifted my gaze awkwardly.

I banged my fingers lightly in the counter. Something I do whenever I get bored.

Great! This is just great. Now she thinks I am some lesbian bimbo.

"Ow they're just waiting in room 5. My colleague Ron will show you."

I didn't look back. I just hurried to this Ron. My saviour!

This Ron, looked in his mid-twenties. He had blond spiky hair. He looked like Cody Simpson. But a skinnier version.
