Hello all,

This is not the first time I've shared Addicted to You with you all. But I was skeptical to do so here because I've no idea how WattPad works. Yet, the response and the whole experience is overwhelming. Thank you for making this a memorable journey.

As some of you might already know (and following), the sequel "Unchained Melody" follows the journey of Nicole Salazar, Arnav's sister, and her struggles as she finds love. A little intense and an adventurous one than her brother's, I think hers will be just as much interesting, if not more.

NOTE: Unchained Melody is currently an ongoing story on WordPress and you can read it there.

Here's an excerpt:

He shook his head, the echo of yet another flute shredded into pieces shuddering through in the house, its jagged edge slicing the insides of his palm. Hot red liquid pooled on the cream marbled floor, the color fascinating him as he chuckled with displeased amazement. The sight oddly soothing his restless heart and he welcomed a rare moment of relief now coursed in his body. But it was short lived as were many other things, every emotion he experienced in his thirty-two years while yet another recollection, as vivid as it had always been, enveloped him in a lover's caress. He could still hear her panicked whispers while holding his bleeding hand. Ironic and fate's cruel game, he would say, to be in close confines with the one woman he could never have, hurting the only person he ever cared about.

He had gone about his life robotically. Every morning, he would wake up to the sounds of his displeased wife and her assistant. He would busy himself in gym and head towards kitchen only after his wife left for work. Crunching down the same tasteless oatmeal, he would wear the mask of being the ruthless businessman and face the world with his brooding persona. Nights were the scary thing as he spent about half of it tossing in his bed, ignoring the woman beside him with his mind recollecting every detail of his moments spent in the arms of the woman whose identity was confined in his heart – of the woman he wanted to wed from the second he laid eyes on her.

But now, he smiled ruefully. Things were different now. With the truth of his married life now out in the open, he had nothing to loss and everything to gain with his one step. To have a life with her, he would give his life up in a heartbeat. To see her smile at him, for him, he'd gladly burnt in the wrath and hatred he was sure he would be subjected to. Well, he deserved it, he knew, but she didn't. Yet, now as he waited for the inevitable to happen...

"What the hell is this?"

Casting his face heavenward with a chuckle, he tilted his head, his gaze clashing with hostility in his sire's. He watched, welcoming sharp tug at the elder man's arm flung across, throwing a newspaper at him. As he glanced at the headlines, something he had known to anticipate, his eyes darkened, the oceanic blue turning ghastly black with fury at the picture of him, and her, their eyes locked with an affectionate smile.

"Why aren't you out cleaning this mess you've created, Sebastian?" His father sneered, the elder man's voice rasp falling on deaf ears. "What's wrong with Casey, releasing such controversial statements?"

"But Casey..."

"... means nothing." He cut her off in a desperate attempt, his calloused hands rough on her soft skin as he cupped her face. "She is a liability."

It took her a minute clear her head. There was certainty in his voice, his eyes focused as he trained his gaze on her. "What do you expect me to do?" She asked, her own voice was low and tired, barely audible as she felt the remaining strength draining from her body. She let go of her reservations, leaning her back against his chest, greedily holding onto his grip. "What do you want me to do?"

She thought she would hear a flicker of hesitation, a glimmer of dubiousness but when he spoke, she only heard self assuredness. In the cold and darkness, she felt her body shiver under his touch, a mere brush of his knuckles on her cheek igniting fire so potent, she knew it would only quench its thirst by consuming her whole. And Nicole embraced it, allowing herself to be kissed by the passion he executed.

"Marry me."
