Chapter 5- The New Housemate

I paced around my living room cussing myself for falling for the little trap my sister Gem put out for me. I felt annoyed with myself for listening to Gem's explanation of why Vincent needed a place to stay. I always had a big heart and today I curse myself for such stupid characteristic, why couldn't I be mean? At least I wouldn't care if Vincent was homeless.

I walked over to the cabinet where I kept my wines; I really needed something to unwind me. I filled the glass up till the top before drinking it all in one gulp.

Wow I really needed that.

At that moment I heard my doorbell. I walked over to my mirror to see if my expression didn't give away that I wanted to murder the idiot who will be spending the next couple of months living with me. I once again cursed my nice personality, I think I should blame Gem for butting herself in a situation where she was not needed.

I quickly poured another glass of wine and drowned it like I have been thirsty for years. I pulled my shoulders back and walked confidently towards the door. I took a nice deep breath before opening the door. I honestly tried to smile but I couldn't help but frown when I saw the stupid smirk on his face.

"We meet again." He winked at me like we were best friends. Doesn't he remember what happened at the night in the bar? Or is he trying to suck up because he needs a place to live. I spun around and made my way to the living room leaving the door open for him to come in. Just looking at him I knew I couldn't be nice even if I tried. My nice personality repelled when it came to him which I was more than happy with.

He moved to the living room placing his suitcase and a guitar case at the corner of the room. He played a guitar? I never expected a moron with a filthy mouth as him playing a guitar. He looked around the place in awe-struck.

Ha! Yes moron I do have an awesome house, didn't expect that did you.

"Wow! This place is nice. I never expected this." He spoke as he looked around my spacious living room. I remember when I moved in I painted and repainted the walls until I settled with the nice red wine colour. Jasmine was major pissed with me due to not settling with one colour, after that incident she gave up helping me with any DIY.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked annoyed.

"Oh nothing. I just expected it to be a bit messy." He admitted as he rubbed his neck uncomfortably.

"Wasn't calling me a slut enough for you that you have to associate me to a dirty, messy woman!" I gritted my teeth together.

He put his hand out in surrender. "About the other night, I want to-"

"I don't want to hear anything from you."

"But-"

"Zip it!" I pointed my finger at him. "Now that you're staying here, you will need to follow my simple two rules." I waited a few moments to see if he would complain or say something idiotic which would help me the case of throwing him out. However, he stood there staring me down with his gorgeous eyes. I shook my head to get away from the thoughts that were filling my mind. "Rule number 1- - I need some notice before you bring your one night sluts. Rule number 2- Stay away from me." As soon as I stated the two important rules I picked my wine bottle and started to make my way upstairs before stopping, "Your room is on the left opposite mine...make yourself comfortable."

I climbed into my bed with my friend to accompany me. I think I need to buy more wine, living with this jerk I need to stay in a drunk state or else I won't be able to survive.

The next morning I woke up with a headache, I tried to rub my temple but my head was still throbbing. I helped myself to some water and pills to help this pain I was feeling, once I got up from my cosy and warm bed I decided to get ready for work.
