Chapter 6- In Need of Dating Tips
Once when I reached my driveway I sat silently taking few deep breaths before I walk in. I just had an awful day after dealing with Gem I had the worst customer ever. She tried nearly all the clothes on the shop floor whining and moaning about little details before she decided she didn’t want to buy anything. Who does that? So I had to re-organise everything that she touched, at that moment I had regretted letting Mia go home early.
I looked down at my watch on my wrist to see it was eight in the evening; I was shocked I was never this late I was usually at home by six the latest. Could I ban the stupid woman from coming ever again? It was very tempting but at that moment I did not want to think about that, all I really wanted was to have a nice relaxing bath before I hit the bed. I didn’t even feel like cooking dinner, I’m sure I can survive without eating anything. With that thought I reluctantly got out of my car and walked towards my door.
As soon as I walked in, the nice aroma hit my nostril making my mouth water. I walked in the kitchen to see Vincent in my apron dicing tomatoes. I did not expect to see this but then again I couldn’t complain but admire his gorgeous muscles reflexing in that tight top. It was a nice view from where I was standing; I couldn’t help but ogle at him.
“Hey Emma.” I heard Vincent say as I was still stuck staring at his muscles.
“Huh?” I asked as I unwillingly looked up to see he had a smirk on his face.
At that moment I came down from my little cloud nine to the realisation he saw me staring. I felt my cheek warm up in embarrassment.
“I’m glad your home on time. I have already filled the bath for you so you could relax before you come down for dinner.” He stated as he focused on dicing the onions.
I looked at him in shock, “You’re making dinner for me?” I asked lamely. I didn’t know why but I assumed he had someone coming over.
He stopped what he was doing and looked straight at me, “Yeah, is that a problem?” He asked.
“Erm, N-no I’ll just freshen up.” I stuttered before turning around and walking out of the kitchen.
“Don’t forget the bubble bath.” I heard him shout from the kitchen.
As I gathered my towel and my Pjs I couldn’t help but think why he went the effort of making me dinner? Maybe he wasn’t bad after all. As I went into the bathroom to see few candles lit on giving nice relaxing feel to it. I couldn’t help but smile; no one has ever done anything like this for me, ever. I dipped my finger into the water to feel if it was warm. I eagerly took my clothes off and got into the nice warm soapy water, instantly relaxing my muscles. I wouldn’t mind coming to this every evening, I thought to myself. As I lay there, I tried to push out so many thoughts that try to enter but I failed miserably. I couldn’t try to let go that I had so much accounting left to do and I was utterly rubbish at it with all the overheads, sales and liabilities. I could carry on with listing terms that I have never heard of, I should have taken a short course in accounting maybe I would be able to buzz through it. Am I kidding myself? I was never the mathematic type. Could I ask Vincent to help? No I don’t think so I’m sure I’ll be okay until my accountant gets back.
