She takes out a thermos from her pocket, and gulps from it for about five straight seconds before she says,"Yes." She smiles as she licks her lips from the coffee. She then backs away, and turns, headed to her class. I kind of just stand there, hands still in pocket, as she walks. I'm glad I went with option two.

After school, I meet Marley in the back of the school, and she asks if I have a ride. I press the button on my keys, and we both look at my crappy '74 grand am my dad gave me before he bought a whole new car. "That's cute." She says with a smile, as she walks past me and toward the car. "Thanks. It was a hand me down." I tell her.

She examines it, front to back, and says,"Well at least it takes you from point A to B, right?" I look at her and kind of giggle. "Yeah." I say. Just then, a car pulls up in the school parking lot. It must be her parents. "Pick me up at 9. Twenty-Three and fourth street." She says quietly as she backs up to the car. I nod, and open the door to my car, and just stand there, until she gets in the car, and leaves.
