I quickly turn my face away from where she can see me. No sense in striking up a conversation with someone I bashed into in a hallway. "Hey," I hear in the back of me. "Aren't you that guy who ran into me in the hallway." I sigh. My feet slowly turn back, and face her. My head lifts up, and the first thing I notice, are her brown eyes. They're not an ordinary brown, they're... it's hard to explain. I walk up to her, and nervously say the words,"Yea. That's me." She smiles and says,"Don't sweat it dude. It's okay." She brushes her hair behind her ear as she speaks. "You come here often?" I realize now she's trying to speak to me. Aren't I supposed to be doing this? "Yea. Actually, every week. You?" She pops the gum in her mouth, and says,"This is actually just my third time." Really? This place should be her home. "Well, you'll love this place. What kind of music do you listen to?" Good job Cal Almanza. You're doing pretty good. "Mostly indie. Soft and classic rock. Chill vibes, feel?" She has nice taste. "Got any favorites?" I ask her. She moves her brown eyes upward, trying to think. "I really like the Rites of Spring. You?" That's not hard at all. I just spew my favorite band out. "Well, Sonic Youth, of course." She nods her head in approval. "What's your name, mister?" She asks in a witty tone. "I'm uh, I'm Cal. You?" She looks to her left, and pics up a nearby Sonic Youth record. "Marley." She says. "Nice to meet you, Cal." I look in her deep brown eyes, mind capturing their color, and say,"Nice to meet you, Marley."
