When we arrive to the movie theatre, it seems they aren't showing a variety of movies tonight. Just two that I'm pretty sure we've both already seen. That's bogus. "This is turkey. They're not showing anything." I say,"Wanna go to another one?" She looks at all the showings.
The Karate Kid and The Breakfast Club. "Let's watch The Breakfast Club. Who cares? We're like the only ones here. It'll be ours." Marley says. I think about it a small while, and the idea doesn't seem so bad. After all, it's 9:33 at night. No one's really out at the movies at this time... on a Monday. "What the hey. Let's do it." I say.
We get the tickets, and popcorn, and make our way to the ghost town of a theatre. Once we sit down, right at the top, I start contemplating with myself on what to do. Is it too early to make a move or something? What if I don't? Will she just see me as a friend if I don't? The title begins. I slowly lift my arm, and begin to put it around her. "Super cliche, but go ahead." She says, as she bites into a kernel. "I'm willing to be cliche right now." I say back to her. She laughs, and scoots closer to me.
This is gonna be a good movie.
