Get up and ask her

In the cold morning at school, I scan the large cafeteria for an empty seat. Luckily, I find one by the window. Only, when I make my way to the seat itself, I see an even better seat outside. No one's out there. It's packed in this massive room, and I know no one. I decide to bring my things outside, and accompany myself with The Proverbs of a Loner.

I've been reading for about five minutes, and notice someone walking out of the school. They have a hoodie on, so I can't identify them. It kind of seems like it's my friend Josh, until they take the hood off. It's Marley. I decide to weigh in on my options:

        1. Stay here and watch her walk away

        2. Get up and ask her out to a movie

I get up without thinking. "Hey, you." I say as my feet make their way towards her. She looks back, and her cheeks are red from the cold weather. "Hey, Mr. Cal himself." She says with a smile. "Where you headed?" The only words I find to say. "Theatre. We have to move some equipment. Why?" I strain to pick an answer in my head. "Just askin. Anyway, I was wondering..," I hope the nervousness my voice goes unnoticable, "are you busy today after school?" She kind of faces me more with her body, and begins ot speak,"Nah, not that I can think of. Why what's up?" I take a small breathe. "I'd like to see a movie with you." I say with a crooked smile, and put my hands in my sweater pockets, awaiting her answer.
