Kakashi awoke in a white, sterile room covered in sterile white sheeted bed. The hospital. Either this was hell, or he had somehow survived his ordeal. He took a deep breath and pain seared through every inch of his body. He survived. No need to be here anymore, he thought. Pulling the IV out of his arm, he swung his heavily bandaged legs over the side of the bed, standing up. The agony was almost too much, but it was still better than being here. He grabbed his clothes and threw them on, completely tattered, and hobbled out the door and down the hallway holding onto anything near him to keep him upright..
"Wait! Wait! You can't leave!"
"I can. And I am."
She reached out for his arm, and he swung around, prepared to pull himself free of the healers grasp. He stopped, stunned by her bright green eyes, which were full of concern for him. Suddenly, he felt a bolt of pain rip through his side, blinding him. That was the last thing he remembered before waking up in a hospital bed for the second time, feeling worse than before.
"Oh good. You're awake."
Kakashi groaned.
"When you turned abruptly, you ripped your fresh chakra stitches in your stomach. I fixed them, but you need to stay here. Please."
It was the healer with the bright green eyes from before.
"Please, I might not be able to save you the next time. Your body is severely injured and the damage to your chakra system is pretty bad."
Kakashi nodded, begrudgingly. She shut the door, so they could have some privacy.
"If you don't mind, I'm going to do a thorough mark-up of your injuries."
He laid back, just now realizing that he was back in a hospital gown. She pulled the gown down to his waist, still covering his groin. He could see thick bandages on his shoulders, forearms, across his chest, and on his left hand. He was basically one giant bandage. She poked him a few times, made a chakra bubble over his stomach, and made a few notes.
"Someone did a nice job of cleaning you up."
She covered his chest with the gown and lifted it to examine his groin. Normally, he would be erect at this point, but he only noticed a lot of pain as she touched his scrotum and balls, and nothing else.
"An elite healer from Tenchi had to remove glass from your urethra. You were mutilated pretty severely. Scrotum and sack. But the healer patched you up well. We will have to see how much feeling you've retained in your penis."
Great. Fucking great. He may not ever get to cum again.
She finished her examination, examining his nearly shattered kneecaps.
"I don't know you got out of bed to leave. You shouldn't be able to walk at all."
"I hate the hospital."
"Nobody wants to be here. But you need to take it easy."
She covered him back up with the gown and then put the sheets over him.
"My name is Amari, if you need anything. I'll be here all night."
Her green eyes sparkled, framed by her short black curls. She was gorgeous. If Mizuka didn't already have his heart, he would probably be very interested. Too bad he was in such a shitty mood from being here and possibly being permanently impotent.
"I'm Kakashi."
"It's very nice to meet you, Kakashi."
She bowed and left, leaving him in the room by himself, but that didn't last long.
Knock, knock.
A short figure entered the doorway.
"I just came to see how you were."
Lord Third. Kakashi tried to sit up, but he found that he couldn't.
"Lay down, son. I just came to tell you that we are currently looking for your captors. You're fortunate you made it, but, unfortunately, your comrade didn't."
The Anbu crying in the cell next to him didn't make it. But, those were the very real consequences of being a shinobi.
"Kakashi, there's something else I want you to think about. Your friends have asked me to release you from your Anbu position. And I think it's a good decision, but one that is ultimately up to you."
"Do you not think I'm Anbu material?"
Hiruzen chuckled.
"No, I actually think you're too good at your job. You're a very effective captain, and a very good shinobi, but you're young, Kakashi. This torture is just the latest in a long line of unfortunate events in your life. And while you're an excellent Anbu member, you have too much compassion to be doing this. I truly believe that there is a different path set out for you, but you need to grasp it. This is your chance to rid yourself of the nickname Cold-Blooded Kakashi.
