{Joey's POV}

I sat back in my chair and crossed my arms as I scanned the room for Max. I was told what would happen already along with the other leaders. We were told on Saturday night while the students were jumping on the huge inflatables the camp set up on half of the basketball court. That was the day she was sick in the hospital, and I never had the chance to tell her when she came back.

She was sitting in the section of seats next to my section, her head in her hands. I turned my attention towards Jc and Lia at the stage. They began talking into the microphones, causing me to zone out. I took my phone out of my pocket and texted Max.

To: My Baaaeeeeee <3

hey...

I saw her grab her phone and look at the message. She typed something, paused, then erased it. She set her phone down on her leg, locking it.

I shook it off and kept my attention away from Jc and Lia. I had heard this all before, from my therapist I quit going to a few years ago. I closed my eyes and started to fall asleep, but before I could doze off completely, their speech was over.

When they finished, Jay came back on the stage and told everyone to stay sitting in their seats until after Kyle, the game coordinater, told them to leave. He ran onto the stage and everyone cheered for him. He quieted us down and began explaining the game.

"Okay, so the name of the game is Glowstick Hunt. The concept of the game is for your team to go around the whole camp area and search for your assigned color of glowstick. There are about 250 for each team, which means there are 1000 glowsticks out there. Right now, the sticks are being hidden by the team captains." He finished.

We were able to talk for about ten minutes more before the leaders came in from hiding the sticks. Kyle told us the rest of the details, like when we had to be back in the building and how many points each stick was worth. I gathered my group and took them out the door to a secret way I was sure some glowsticks would be. We tiptoed without any light, to make sure no one was going to follow us there. Ethan kept watch behind us while I led the kids down the cramped pathway.

As soon as there was an opening, I could see glowing light everywhere in the grass and trees. I had everyone stop so I could explain where everyone should go so we spent as little time here as possible.

We grabbed them all and put them back in the buckets at the basketball court. I saw Ricky, Trevor, Connor, and Kian holding the buckets on the bleachers, so I told Ethan to go with the group and find more.

"Hey boyyssss!" I waved, laughing.

"Hey Joeyyy!" They replied.

I sat down with them and talked until we had to go back inside at 10. It was nice to catch up with them, since the last time I talked to them was at the meet and greet a few weeks ago.

{Connor's POV}

I could tell that something was up between Max and Joey, especially because I saw them talking by her cabin earlier today and they seemed to have a lot of silences. I mean, not that it's any of my business, but I think they would be a really cute couple.

I won't say anymore- well, think anymore about it. I realized that I've begun to miss Alisa a whole lot lately even though she lives near me. I never actually got to talk to her enough to see her after the greet. I did start to like her a lot, actually. I just recently got over a crush and I can't make that commitment just yet, even though my heart says I should.

I've been so bottled up lately about everything, whereas all the other boys could talk to each other about anything. I was the one who always listened, but never talked. My thoughts are all jumbled up, as you can tell right now, and I really never know what to do anymore.
