Prologue

Third Person POV

Raven was just a little 3 year old walking around the little small town she has lived in since birth when suddenly a strange fruit caught her eyes. As she got closer she got curious and had decided to know how the strange fruit tasted and ate it not knowing she had actually just ate a logia devil fruit that gave her the ability to use or create or even transform into wind at will it also gave her the ability to manipulate the temperature that wind is. She found this out when she told her mother what she had ate making her mother freak out but ending up explaining to the little girl what she had eaten and that she would never be able to swim.

~Time skip to when she was 6~

She knew very well who her mother was and she never knew about her father and honestly after learning that he never really cared about her mother or her she lost complete interest in him. Her mother was Gol D. Rogers best friend since childhood and she was also a proud member of his crew up until she found herself pregnant from a man who she thought loved her. Too bad the moment he got knowledge of Sara -Raven's mother- being pregnant with his child he ran just like that leaving Sara to take care of little Raven all on her own.

Raven knew that she could lose her mother at any given moment but she never expected Marines to invade her home while she was away. Her mother had told her that if anything was to happen to her to call for Garp and to not, by any means, interfere. The little girl left in tears as she saw her mother be beheaded in front of everyone and she couldn't do anything about it. Having already called Garp to help her she just stayed there crying for her mother's death.

~Time Skip 5 years later~

Something good came from all this. She now had brothers. She could smile and laugh with them as if she had been with them her whole life all but one by the name of Portgas D. Ace formally known as Gol D. Ace. They couldn't stand each other always arguing and calling each other names the other hated people around them always laughing at the two and betting with each other that they one day would end up dating.

Maybe it was because the two where very close in age seeing as Raven was only a few months younger than him but the two could not get along by the life of them. Years went by and they both grew up, matured a bit, and oh though their arguing didn't stop it did change. Some complements would slip without permission making both of them blush or if they were too close they both felt this tingly feeling in their stomach.

Raven was the first to notice what it was being the girl and the one that always enjoyed reading romantic books. It wasn't until a heated argument between the two that she yelled it out with tears in her eyes not realizing what she had done. Ace couldn't believe it and he just stood there frozen not saying a word making Raven have the wrong idea.

As she mumbled an 'I'm sorry' and started to walk away Ace made a run for it taking her by surprised as he kissed her full on the lips making both of them a blushing mess as he shyly asked her be his girlfriend and her kissing him as an answer. It took maybe a month or two to fully explain what dating meant to Luffy as he was utterly confused as to why the two suddenly stop arguing and spending more time alone with each other but he finally got it.

Raven left the same day Ace did leaving with him to an amazing adventure with the love of her life. She would follow him to the end of the world if necessary. Her devil fruit powers complemented Ace's 'flame-flame' abilities perfectly. Having this wind ability meant she could work together with Ace making his flames stronger than what they already were and even though she herself had a high bounty like Ace not much people got a real taste of her abilities no one not even Ace knew the full extent of her abilities seeing as she never really had the need to use them being with protective Ace and all. Whitebeard took a quick liking to the girl seeing her loyalty to Ace was something else to him. The way they protected each other was something to admire in his eyes and so he never separated them.

Every Whitebeard Pirate knew not to try anything with her knowing full well if they actually did managed to do anything to her, which wasn't lightly seeing as she was as strong as Ace if not stronger, Ace and Whitebeard himself would be the ones they would be responding to. The two were inseparable and the perfect team, no one could ever get in their way but it wasn't until Blackbeard betrayed them that they both set off to make him pay for what he has done finding Luffy on their way.
