Chapter 5

Raven POV

It's been a few days since I got back and I was already started to show just a little bit. The guys always made sure I was ok and that I didn't move around much claiming Ace would kill them if anything was to happen to me which always made me laugh but tell them I was pregnant not paralyzed. Today though, today I felt like puking a lot but nothing would ever come out. This wasn't part of the pregnancy I'm sure of that. It was a sick feeling that was eating me from the inside out and when the seagull came with the news paper I understood what that sick feeling was.

"Raven!" Marco yelled before I felt him holding me up slowly placing me on the floor. My body had given up on me as my eyes landed on the news.

"Hey! What's wrong?" He asked as the crew started to crowd us.

"What's going on?!" I hear pops voice but my eyes never leave the paper. The voices around me turned blurry. Ace.. lost? He's going to be executed by the marines.. in front of the whole world? No.. I.. I can't accept that.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?!" I hear Marco yell as he stops me, I didn't even notice when the news paper was taken away from me.

"You know where I'm going! I can't just let him die!" I say feeling the tears roll down my eyes as I try getting free from him.

"Raven you need to think! You can't just rush in there without a plan!" He says but I ignore him continuing to try and get free.

"I don't care! I won't let him die! I can't!" I scream feeling my body give out on me as I fall to my knees again hitting my forehead against the floor.

"I can't let him die, he means more to me than my own life." I mumble slamming my fist to the floor before feeling a hand pat my back in confort.

"Yes but your life is not yours alone anymore." My breathing stopped as I look up to see pops.

"You are now carrying a child with you, Ace's child. Are you willing to give that away?" He continued making me hesitate placing my hands on my stomach.

"But.. Ace-" He cuts me off.

"I didn't say I wouldn't do anything now did I?" My eyes widen at his words.

Here we are. The ships in place ready to attack, pops looks at me when the ship steadies.

"Come my dear, you are going to stay by my side until I order otherwise understand?" He asked and I sigh but nod, this was the condition I had to agree on in order to even be here. No one could find out about my pregnancy and thankfully I wasn't showing enough to make people believe I'm actually pregnant.

"Let's go then." He says as I follow his movement slowly making our way to be visible to everyone. Once there pops lets out a laugh as my eyes look for Ace.

"It's been quite some time Sengoku." I hear pops say to one of the marines.

"Whitebeard." The guys answers as my eyes land on Ace who's looking right back at me.

"We have plenty to talk about, like you not killing my son." Pops says, I could see Ace trying to get over the shock he was feeling.. did he really believe we would let him get killed?

"Sit tight for a second.. Ace." Pops says as my eyes never leave Ace as I give a little smile to him.

"Father!" He screams and I take a step away from pops when I saw he was about to use his power. I know what Ace is thinking, he's thinking of everything pops has done for us, he's thinking about how the two of us disobeyed orders and now because of that he's paying for it.

"Pops.. and everyone else too. I ignored your advise and took off on my own, why the hell didn't you just give up on me?! Every bit of this is my own damn fault!" Ace screams making me bite my lip and look at pops.

"No. It was I who drove you to this, my son." Pops says.

"That's a lie! You know the damn truth! You told me not to go after him but I wouldn't listen!" Ace screamed.. he's desperate, I can tell that much. He hates to put our lives in danger specially for something that he thinks is his fault.

"Your captain and I told you to go. Ace was only following my orders, isn't that right Marco?" Pops says as we all just look at Ace.

"Yep. I head it myself, then you left. Sorry for all the trouble. Really, Teach broke the rules of our ship and you had to seek justice, everyone in the world knows what happens if you mess with one of our crew mates. If you do, you're going to pay the price." Marco says making me smile.

"That means that if anyone lays a finger on you Ace, they'll have to deal with us!" I grin and look at Ace straight in the eyes.

"Don't worry Ace! We'll get you out of here!" I yell as everyone cheered with me, soon pops was making the water attack them but one of their commanders froze the water and cannons started firing at us. I smirk and take a step forward in front of pops.

"May I?" I ask and he nods, I stand straight and extent my hands and before the marines knew it the canon balls were coming right back at them and the piretes were attacking.

I wanted to be right there with them but I stayed back with pops as I was ordered. Soon an attack was sent to us by Mihawk. But our third division commander stopped it. I watched the man as he looked at me as if he was studying me making me raise a brow.

Why is he looking at me so much for? Now that I really look at him his hair color and golden eyes.. they are the same color as mine.. could he.. no, it doesn't matter. Whitebeard is my only father and that's all that matters to me.
