Chapter 3

Raven POV (still flashback)

"Get back here!" I hear Garp yell but I just laughed and continued jumping from tree to tree. It wasn't unusual for me. I used to do this a lot after all. After about 20 minutes of that I found a secluded area at the edge of the island where I could see the ocean. It was peaceful, quiet, and just perfect for me. I could train, read or just relax and stare at the ocean.

My dream? My dream was somewhat simple I wanted to become an amazing pirate much like my mother. I looked at the bag I had resting on my back before setting it down and sitting down before opening it. It contained probably about 400 million berries, it also contained a few dials my mother brought back from sky island and her Jornal where all her adventures were recorded. This was what my mother left for me. I took out the recording dial out and look at it before taking in a long breath and pressing the button.

"Hi my little pirate.. if you're listening to this it either means you got curious and started searching the house and found this or.. that I died." She stopped for a second and I bite my lip holding back the tears even though I had already listened to this before.

"I know I've told you everything about me.. even of what we are. I know it has always been your dream to become a pirate like me, to be known all through out the world. And you will.. I know you will. There's still something I wanted to tell you that I never had because it never really came in topic and it wasn't something I'd just tell you but, Gol D. Roger had a son by the name of Ace.. he was surprised to live with us as your older brother but seeing as the marines are after me too Roger found it better not to. I want you to one day find him and befriend him maybe even marry him. I'm sure if we were both alive this is something we'd do." She chuckled to herself and I scoff.

"Who knows maybe you'll become great friends. I love you my little pirate and remember to live without regrets and to never look back. I may be gone but I'll always be watching and cheering you on.. goodbye." With that the dial stopped and I cleaned my tears by scoffing.

"There is no way I'm befriending that jerk! Far less marry him. How dare he throw a rock at me?! I don't care if he's-"

"Who the hell are you talking to?" I look up at the tree and glared at the same boy I was just cussing.

"That's non of your business idiot! Leave me alone!" I yell up at him before turning back to my bag and closing it hugging it to me slightly.

"What's in there?" He asked jumping down and I glare at him harder.

"I said leave me alone."

"Look girly I don't care who you are but I saw money in there! Give it!" He yelled and I look at him raising a brow and getting up.

"No." I say simply putting the bag back on my back.

"Then I'll take it from you." He said taking what for him was a threatening step forward.

"I'd like to see you try." I taunted with a laugh. He glared before charging at me and tried attacking me but I continued to dodge.

"Didn't I tell you I'm not giving you the money?" I ask before kicking him hard as his back hits the tree.

"Listen to what I'm about to say and listen good. I don't care your father is Gol D. Roger king of the damn pirates. You will not beat me and there's no way in hell I'd let you take away the only thing my mother left behind when she died. I don't care if my mother and your father were best friends and I don't care that my mother wished for me to befriend you. There's no way I'd be friends with a brat like you." I say glaring at him before turning away and jumping to a tree to get back to the place I'd be staying.

End flashback

"Wait a minute so.. you two were punks?!" Sanji almost yelled making me laugh.

"We were but me it was more like I just preferred to stay away from people. After losing my mother I was afraid to get close to someone just to lose them." I say with a smile.

"So you had money?" Nami said with money eyes making me raise a brow.

"My mother was a rich pirate and we lived almost in a mansion. So yeah while these two were out causing trouble I was in a secluded area reading or training." I say.

"So you really didn't get along at the beginning?" Vivi asked and I shook my head.

"We didn't get along for years even when Luffy came when we were 10 we still fought like cats and dogs." Ace says laughing.

"Yeah but unlike you I did treat Luffy more nicely. True I did always disappear on him and so he followed you instead but still I liked the little kid." I say rustling Luffy's hair.

"So when did you started getting along?" Chopper asked.

"Hmm well we didn't exactly.. it just kinda happened. When we were about 14 feelings between us started but both of us ignored it and continued to always argue and fight though still some complements did slip out without permission getting both of us by surprise." I say.

"Yeah until one day we were having another one of our arguments and even though both of us were alone it was still pretty heated until it slipped out of her mouth that she liked me and well that's how it all started." Ace said smiling making me smile too and kiss his cheek making him turn and kiss my lips softly.

"I love you." We both say at the same time when I hear some 'awe's squealing and some crying and a 'get over it you know she's taken' from the green haired swordsman towards the crying blonde.
