Sam's POV

Five and I are sitting and talking like we always do
"Sam I want to travel I want to see the world " he states looking me dead in the eyes
"Yea? .. and how do you plan and doing big man?"
"I don't know I know dad would never let any of us go but... It's just something I really want to do you know?"

"Yea ... I know"

Just then mom rings the meal time bell

"We'll continue this after meal time how's that ?" I ask him
"Yea after..."
"Promise?"

"Promise."

And with that we both locked pinky's and raced down to the dinning room for meal time.
dad instructs everyone to sit all of us take our seats dad at one end of the table vanya at the other
Luther and Allison on dads end of the table across from each other diego and Klaus next to them Five across from me and next to ben. We all sit down and do our own things klaus rolling a blunt luther and Allison starring at each other ben reading diego carving in his chair. Five is just looking at father what I assume is rage in his eyes
"what are you planning" I ask barely above a whisper he ignores me and stabs a knife into the table gaining the attention of everyone we all stop to look at him
"Number Five" dad states looking at him
"I have a question"five says folding his hands
"Knowledge is an admirable goal but you know the rules.. No talking during meal times your interrupting Herr Carlson"
the old man says going back to eating five pushes his plate away angrily
"I want to time travel"
he says irritation evident in his voice
"No"
was all the old man said
"But im ready I've been practicing my spacial jumps just like you said"
five states jumping next to dad

"a space jump us trivial when compared to the unknowns of time travel. One is like sliding along the ice the other is akin to ascending blindly into the depths and reappearing as an acorn"
father says not once looking up from his food
"Well I don't get it"
five says looking around the table to everyone
"hence the reason why you not ready" the monocle states five looks to vanya who shakes her head as to tell him not to press father
"im not afraid"
he says looking back to father
"fear isn't the issue the affects it will have on your body not to mention the affects it could have on your mind are far to unpredictable now I Forbid you to talk about this anymore"
dad states looking up at five with that five runs off and out the door
"number five you haven't been excused get back here!"
dad yelled I get up and run after 5 "FIVE"
I yell as he runs out the door he stops little ways away from the door turns around and looks at me
"I have to try"

"no you can't leave us here five " saddnes laced in my words and tears brimming in my eyes
"no Sam I can't stay I have to try"

"ok but promise me you'll be back" tears staining my cheeks
" I can't promise anything Sam"

"No.. no promise me you'll be back"
I say walking closer to him Pinky out "ok Samantha I promise"
with that we lock Pinky's he lets go and with one last look he disappears in a cloud of blue.
