The Warriors

"We're warriors for the elder council," My gaze snapped to Aiden has he answered my question. Damn, warriors for the elder council.

Warriors were their own breed of wolves, brutal killers. They put fear into every man, woman and child who knew who they were, they tracked down out of control rogues, assisted packs and did everything the elders told them to do.

They were the strongest of our kind, bred for war these wolves were judge, jury and executioner, they were law. I couldn't belive that I was standing right in front of two warriors, two very handsome warriors.

Aiden was at least 6'3" with jet black hair and vibrant green eyes, broad shoulders and narrow waist and chisled features with a scar running down from temple to jaw line. The way he moved you could tell he was not a wolf to mess with.

Shifting my gaze to Jasper, he was almost an identical match to Aiden except he had brown eyes and a scar running from his bottom lip down to his chin. He looked to be a practical joker and smooth talker.

I noticed the tattoo peaking from beneath his jacket, it almost came up his neck but rested atop his shoulder. Most of it was covered but for what I could see it was an intriguing piece.

"And?" I said calmly, I didn't care if they were elders themselves, they had no right to talk to me like that. I watched Aiden stiffen and Jasper smile bigger than I thought was possible.

"I like her," he said as he looked over to Aiden who still seemed to be sizing me up.

"We will see," he muttered before shrugging off his jacket to show the muscle packed underneath. Aiden was completely ripped, like muscle stacked on muscle, if I wasn't mentally trying to prepare myself for this fight I probably would have been drooling.

His black t-shirt was tight against his chest and shoulders, and he was fitted into some really nice jeans. They hinted but left enough to the imagination that your mind could totally run wild. I also noticed that he had the same tattoo as Jasper in the same exact spot, interesting.

Focusing on the task at hand, I watched him like a hawk as we moved away from Caleb and Jasper. He moved gracefully, like a predator, each placement of his feet and movement of his body was exact, he knew where he was going before he moved.

He was technical, precise, mapping out an attack before attacking, narrowing my eyes I realized what I needed to do in order to beat him. I didn't move as he circled me, predators waited for the exact moment to attack, the perfect moment. If something doesn't go according to plan then they have to improvise, improvising leaves a way for their prey to escape.

Aiden lunged at me but I didn't move, eyeing his quick movements.

"Show him Sonny," my ears twitched at the sound of Calebs voice, I nodded my head once, letting him know that I heard him.

Closing my eyes I straightened my shoulders and back, taking in a deep breath I opened my wolf's senses. My hearing heightened, my sense of smell increased, my ears twitched as I heard his footsteps circling me.

Over the course of this past year, eating at least 2 meals a day and training with Caleb only heightened my abilities. Caleb sounded like a freight train compared to Aiden but Aiden wasn't so quiet himself.

I heard his feet dig into the dirt deeper than normal and knew that he was attacking, I felt the air move to my right and pivoted at the last second. Aiden moved right passed me, I twirled around opening my eyes as I went and launching myself at Aiden.

He turned around as I launched at him, his eyes widened a fraction before I blurred my movements, my fist cracked into his face, pulling away I landed another punch to the other cheek. Twirling around I landed a blow to his temple with a round house kick. Aiden was out before his body hit the ground.

I stopped for a split second before running towards a tree at wolf speed, I could feel Jasper gaining on me. Smirking I blurred my movements again and ran up the tree trunk only to propel myself backwards and land behind Jasper, I didn't hesitate in my next move. I slammed my hand down on his neck and dropped him just as I had his twin brother.

Turning around slowly, I came face to face with six other people who looked deadlier than sin. A tank of a man stepped forward with a slow clap.

"Impressive, little one." His deep baritone voice filled the silence. "With a little help you could probably do that with out breaking a sweat."

I smirked at him as he crossed his arms to examine me, "Not good enough for you?" I snapped.

"Well damn, she's better than you let on Caleb." The guy in front of me said without taking his eyes off me, he looked like a tank. Huge broad shoulders with arms the size of my head, he had a buzz military cut and a crisscross scar on the side of his head just behind his ear.

My eyes wandered over the unfamiliar faces of what I'm assuming we're the rest of the warriors. I heard a groan and turned around to see Aiden standing there looking at me with death in his eyes, I smirked at the small trail of blood leaking out the corner of his mouth.

"Forget to clean your self up?" I smirked at him, the anger in him was coming off of him in waves and I smirked again when his eyes flashed to that of his wolf.

"Shit," Tank muttered and reached out to me.

"No, leave her," Caleb said stepping back and taking the rest of the warriors with him. Aiden began to shake before he dropped to all fours and shifted to a dark reddish brown wolf. I watched with fascination, it never got old watching wolves shift from human to wolf and back again. I bit back the surge of envy at his ability to shift, one day I would be able to do the same, one day.

I smirked at him as i moved when he moved, his wolf was not happy about being shown up but a simple girl and I could relate. I felt my wolf pushing to the surface, my eye sight got better, my hearing sharpened and my sense of smell heightened.

"Are you sure we shouldn't pull her out of there?" Tank asked and Caleb chuckled.

"Seriously it's not her you should be worried about." He chuckled again.

I tuned them out as Aiden began to growl, he began pacing back and forth in front of me as his eyes watched my every move. He never gave me a warning, just launched at me, claws and teeth bared, a loud snarl ripped out of his throat and bounced into the night.

I stood my ground and bent my knees, gripping his neck and shoving a hand into his chest I propelled his body away from me. Turning to watch him slide across the forest floor before his paws could find purchase, once he was able to get them beneath him he charged again.

Smiling slightly I waited for him to come at me, his lips were pulled back into a snarl, pearly white teeth gleaming menacingly in the dark. I pulled back my fist and let it fly, connecting with the side of his face. He flew to the side with the force of my punch, only this time didn't give him the opportunity to come at me again.

Following his rolling form, I launched my body at his and pinned him to the ground. My hand around his throat and my knee in his stomach, his paws tried clawing my stomach and legs while his teeth tried finding an open part of flesh to sink into.

"Enough," I snarled and felt him stiffen beneath me. I watched his eyes begin to shift back to their normal color, squeezing once more to make sure my point was made I let Aiden go.

"We'll train her," Tank said amazement laced with his tone.

"Tomorrow, I have to get back." I told him before walking into the forest and smiling in triumph, soon I would be ready and I could leave this pack once and for all.
