Chapter 9: confusion

He pulled away and looked straight into my dull, grey eyes.

"I'm sorry Amara, I didn-" I cut him off with a peck on the lips. He smiled weakly at me, which I returned.

We laid, cuddling on his bed for who knows how long, not saying a word. It was a comfortable silence. That was until his phone rang.

"One sec" he told me, and walked out into the hallway.

Shawn P.O.V.

I looked at the contact on my phone. ugh. Julia.

Julia, the head cheerleader at oaks high, and my ex girlfriend who cheated on me with some stoner.

"Hello?" I answered, making sure the annoyance in my voice showed.

"Hey baby" she replied. I could feel the puke coming up in the back of my throat.

"What do you want?"

"Look shawny, I-"

"Don't call me shawny."

"Okay. Look shawn, I know we've had our differences, but could you meet me at the 7/11 in like 15 minutes? I need to see you"

"Fine. But if you try anything, I will tell everybody your little secret." I spat. Nobody knows about her cheating on me except us. I think the guy was too stoned to process what he was doing.

I hung up on her after that, and then went inside to get changed into jeans and a flannel. I told Amara that I was going out and she nodded.

Once I arrived at the gas station, I spotted Julia, and walked inside to talk.

"Hey shawn." she said. I tried not to look her in the eyes, because if I do, I know that I will end up forgiving her.

"Hi"

"Um.. Im just going to cut to the chase. I want you back. you treated me better than any guy has, and We were made for eachother."

"so is that why you cheated on me? Because I was the best guy you ever had?" I cut her off.

Before another word was said, I turned around, and left.

"You're gonna pay shawn." I heard her mutter when I walked away.
