"Valerie." Ian said approaching her as she walked down the hallway her face dug in her Ap Spanish book. "Val." Ian repeated grabbing her elbow turning her around, this caused Valerie to snap into reality and step away from him.
"What do you want Ian?" Valerie asked. "I just want to make sure.." "I didn't tell Jason." Valerie assured him shaking her head, closing her book in the process. "But.." "Look, you made the move. It's your fault either way, if your dead one day I don't think anyone would be surprised." Ian grabbed her arm roughly causing her breath to hitch. "Listen, bitches like you get buried in Rosewood just ask Alison." "What does that mean?" Valerie snapped back.
"What's going on here?" Ezra asked approaching them, Ian dropped Valerie's arm. "Nothing. Just think about what I said." Ian said walking backwards to turn a corner.
"Are you okay?" Ezra asked her, as her face fell blank while she watched him walk away. "Valerie?" Ezra questioned resting a hand on her shoulder causing her to look at him quickly. "What?" Valerie asked. "Did he say something to you?" Ezra asked. "No, No. I'm fine." Valerie paused as the bell rang. "I'll see you in class later."
With that she rushed off leaving a confused Ezra standing in the hallway as students went into classrooms right and left of him. ~~ "Hey Val" Aria said standing in my doorway of my room. "Val" Aria repeated approaching her sister who was laying on her bed, headphones in and staring at the ceiling. "Val!" Aria exclaimed ripping a headphone from her ear. "Jesus Aria!" Valerie shouted sitting up, Aria passed her a small smile. "Lunch with mom tomorrow at the Grill also your night to help Mike with homework." "Alright." Valerie sighed placing her headphones back on. Aria frowned slightly and walked out of the room. ~~ As Valerie approached Mike's room she stopped hearing Aria's voice on the phone. "I know Ezra, but i'm worried. Ever since Jason left without saying goodbye Valerie's been off, and after the incident you told me about with Ian..." there was silence. "Okay okay, i'll talk to her alright. Okay, bye." Valerie walked to Mike's room knocking on the door. "Come in." Mike said. "Hey Mike, do you need help with homework?" Valerie questioned walking into the room. "Yeah, math actually. Mrs Johnson is piling so much homework on us lately and I just can't figure it out." "Have you been paying attention in class?" Valerie asked sitting on his bed next to him. "Yeah, but it still doesn't make sense." "Let me see." After a few hours Valerie had drifted asleep on Mike's bed. "So what do I do next?" Mike asked, he looked at his sister who was asleep on his shoulder he sighed laying her down gently he covered her with blankets and continued on his homework.
"Hey Mike." Aria said entering the room. "Dinners ready-" "Knock why don't you." Mike told her. "Sorry," Aria apologized and knocked on the open door. "Pythagoras Theorem!" Valerie exclaimed sitting up quickly, Mike and Aria looked at her, Valerie smiled sheepishly. "I guess I wasn't much help, sorry Mike." "It's fine Valerie, why are you so tired lately?" Mike questioned. "I just haven't gotten much sleep that's all." "Well, dinner's ready okay? Come down when you can." "You can sleep in here, i'll bring you food okay?" Mike told her once Aria left. Valerie nodded snuggling into the blankets, Mike smiled softly at her as he walked out the room. ~~ "Spencer Hastings, Aria and Valerie Montgomery, Emily Fields, and Hanna Marin please come to the office." Valerie heard as she was walked out of the classroom she saw the girls across the hall, locking confused eye contact with them the group went to the office together. "What's going on?" Valerie asked as they took a seat.
"The cops are here, they found something of Alison's." Spencer said in a low voice.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, i'm Agent Cooper." a woman said walking in the room and handing a card to Spencer who eyed it. "FBI?" "This is my partner, Agent Randall. We're here because the Bureau was asked by local authorities to assist in the investigation of Alison DiLaurentis' murder. I wanna show you something sent to Rosewood Police Department by an anonymous source. Family's given me permission to show it to the five of you." As she turned on the television Valerie's eyes drifted toward the screen. "Wanna see more? I know you want to. If the girls know I was seeing you.. oh my god they would not stop talking about it I wish they were more mature, but.. We don't have a lot of time. I have to get back before they wake up. I know you wanna kiss me."
Alison spoke over the camera.
"Is there anything you can tell me about what you see?" "They're at the kissing rock. It's in the woods behind the lake." Emily explained. "I think this was taken the night that Alison disappeared." Aria stuttered out. "She was wearing that yellow top." "But that's not her sweater." Hanna spoke up "Are you sure?" "Ask me what's in each one of our closets and I'll give you an itemized list. I know clothes." Valerie's mind swirled as the girls spoke, she stared at the television until Hanna grabbed her hand. "Miss Montgomery." the woman said. "Yes?" Valerie questioned. "Do you know anything about this night?" FLASHBACK: "Jason come on stop it!" Valerie giggled slightly as he lifted her against the rock. "What the hell?" Alison exclaimed this caused Valerie to push Jason backwards slightly off her. She stood with a yellow shirt on draped in a sweater. "Ali? What are you doing here?" "I could ask you the same thing." Ali shot back. "I came looking for you and I ran into Jason." "Yeah ran into his mouth, you slut." "Watch it!" Jason exclaimed. "Oh i'm sorry, did I get your girlfriend all upset?" Ali mocked as Valerie looked at her feet slightly. "Should we tell him about you know what?" "Ali, stop." Valerie begged. "Please." "Tell me about what?" "Ali no!" Valerie said her voice raising, Ali smirked. "You need to tell him Vee, before he attacks again." Ali warned. "Before who attacks?" Jason questioned, looking at Valerie. "Oh no one." Ali smirked. "Now scram, I have someone to meet." ~~ That night Jason and Valerie got into a big fight about what Ali had said, and she stormed off back to the sleepover before the girls woke up. But she couldn't sleep, she couldn't bare to.
"No, I don't know anything else." Valerie told the officer, she looked at Valerie unconvinced well the other liars exchanged glances. "That'll be all thank you for your time."
"What was that all about?" Aria asked her sister when they separated from the group. "I saw Ali the night she vanished." "I know we all did." Aria shrugged. "No, I mean I saw her after that. After she drugged you guys, I went out to meet Jason at the kissing rock. Ali was there, she wasn't with anyone that I know of, but she saw us. She almost told Jason about.. about Ian." Valerie spilled. "What about Ian?" Aria asked. "Ian tried to have sex with me, I kept telling him no. I kept pushing him off of me, and eventually I did. But apparently Ian was telling his friends that he hooked up with a younger girl the same night he tried to have sex with me. Jason believed him, we got into a big fight when I wouldn't tell him I was the girl and that it never happened. I was extremely upset and I went back to the barn, but I saw her before she disappeared Aria and Ian hasn't let it go." "No, I haven't." Ian growled slightly and the girls let out a small gasp. "I told you not to tell anyone." "And I thought I told you to step off." Ezra spat at him stepping in between them, Ian backed off slightly. "Calm down dude, nothings going on just having a talk-" "-if you don't leave you'll be having a talk with the principal real soon." Ian glared at Valerie and stormed off. "Are you guys alright?" Ezra asked Valerie and Aria. "Were fine. Thanks." Aria told him and dragged her sister away. "Aria-" Ezra started. "Just go talk to him, i'll be okay." Valerie assured her. "No, your my sister and i'm not leaving you alone after that. Plus we have to get to class either way." Aria shrugged as the hooked arms and walked down the hallways. Valerie smiled at her sister who returned it as they headed to their next class.
