Willow's POV
Today starts the annual sword fighting tournament in Camelot. At the moment I am on my way to get permission to participate in the tournament. “Sire I have a question.” He waved his hand telling me to continue. “I was wondering if I may participate in the tournament?” Everyone in the room besides Uther and I laughed. He sat and thought about it for a second. “Why?” I smiled. “I love sword-fighting and it's perfect to show everyone, sir.” He nodded. “You may, for you have fought my son and won.” I bowed and thanked him. I ran outta the castle to where Arthur was training his knights. “SIR ARTHUR I HAVE A REQUEST!” I shouted running towards him. “What Willow?” I hide my head and whispered. “Can I train with you for the tournament? The kings letting me join.” He smiled throwing me a sword. “Help me teach them. Everyone this is Willow she will be training with us and training you as well. Treat her with respect.” A few started to laugh. “A girl fight us let alone in the tournament? That's unheard of!” I twirled the sword some. “Would you like to test that?” “Fight her.” I looked at Arthur. “I'm sorry if I wound him badly sire.” He just waved it off and moved so we could fight. He lunged forward aiming for my chest. “First rule of fighting. Never let your opponent have an opening.” I cut his side some. Not deep enough for stitches but enough to draw blood. “We can keep going if you wish sir.” He got mad and swung at my face. I didn't move in time and he got me in my face. I screamed a little.
I mean yes I was going to scream it's deep and I'm bleeding. I quickly dropped my sword and covered my face to try and stop the bleeding. “Willow are you okay? You insolent fool, you hurt her!” He walked over to me and tried to remove my hands. “Don't. Don't do it, dont touch my face and get me to Gaius.” He picked me up and ran to Gaius. “Gaius!” He sat me down and Gaius came in. “Oh dear what happened?” He removed my hands with force and both of them gasped. “Oh my, this is bad.” I can't telling if it was tears or blood running down my face. “How..how bad is it?” My voice was shaky. “It's ugh it's pretty bad. Can you open your eye?” I took a deep breath and did was he told me to do. “I can't open my eye it hurts to much.” He patted my knee and told me to try anyway. I opened my eye and started to cry some. “I can't really see. Everything's so blurry in my eye. Gaius am I not going to be able to see?” I was crying harder now. I didn't know that Arthur had left in my break down.
Arthur's POV
I left as she started to cry more. I went looking for Garret to tell him what he did. “Garret you are so done for if she can't see after this.” He looked really upset and like he was crying. “I didn't I was going to actually hit her. I didn't mean to hit her at all.” I just glared and ran back to Willow. “Willow are you doing any better?” She covered her face and started to speak. “No it hurts a lot and now I'm even uglier than before.” I moved her hands away from her face gently but she dropped her head. “How were you ‘ugly’ before? Is it because of your leg? If so no one cares about that.” She lifted her head some. “I'm uglier now because of my face.” I lifted her head to look at me. “You look no different than you did before. You are a very beautiful girl. You are a servant though.” Shouldn't have said that. “Thank you but I'm not anymore.” Well I tried.
Willow's POV
I got up, put a cloak on and left. I know that he tried to cheer me up but I'm not pretty not anymore. “Willow I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to actually hit you even though I was mad. Please forgive me.” I looked at him. “I am just a servant please don't apologize to me.” He was stunned as I walked by. “Are you still competing in the tournament? If you are I'll be rooting for you all the way. I didn't mean any of what I said earlier either. I was only trying to get under your skin and when you hit me I got angry. But I'll support you and help you train if you want to do that.”
I smiled and nodded. “That would be nice for I will need help with my problem. I don't blame you by the way.” He smiled and nodded while jogging away. I turned back away and walked to were the king is. “King Uther sir may I speak with you?” He looked up at me with a questioning look. “Yes please speak. How is the wound?” I cringed. “It's fine. I was wondering if I can still compete with the wound and all.” He smiled very faintly. “You are a good warrior, you can still compete.” I smiled and bowed. “Thank you sire!” I stood back up and turned around. “Keep your hood down as well. You are just fine the way you are dear.” I smiled and took my cloak off. “Yes sire.” I left to go practice fighting. “You'd think you wouldn't have to practice with how skilled you are.” I turned to Arthur. “Well I can use this eye at the moment and I need to train we start tomorrow.” He nodded. “Yes we start the tournament tomorrow and it is nice to practice. Let's practice together.” I threw him a sword and we started fighting.
Morgana's POV
I stood at my window and watched Arthur and Willow talk. “Morgana do you need anything else?” Gwen broke me out of my daze. “Do you think they would fit well together?” She was confused at first. “Oh are you talking about Willow and Arthur?” I nodded. “Yeah they look cute together. It's a shame she's a servant for shed make a lovely queen.” I nodded in agreement. “I want you to assist her with her armor tomorrow and throughout the whole thing.” She bowed. “Yes ma'am.” She left with that and I layed down.
Willow's POV
I finished practicing with Arthur and went to bathe. “Willow if you need any help changing the bandages please come see me.” “Oh Gwen I didn't see you there. That would be lovely if you can in about a few minutes.” She smiled and said shes be back in about 10 minutes. I quickly washed my body and hair, dried off and put my clothes on. I was about to walk out the door to grab something when a knock came. “Come in.” Gwen walked in with bandages. “Thank you Gwen for helping me.” She just smiled and removed the bandage and gently cleaned my face. “Oh I didn't know you ladies were in here.” Gwen turned around and looked at Arthur. “Hello Arthur can you help me for a second?” He nodded and walked over. “Gently clean her face.” He grabbed the cloth and started dabbing my face. “See I told you.” I looked at him. “What do you mean sir?” He smiled at me. “I told you that you will still be beautiful.” I smiled and asked him if I looked better with or without the gauze. “You look fine with and without it.” Gwen came and pushed him outta the way playfully and bandaged my eye back up. “Thanks again Gwen.” I smiled at both of them and went to lay down and rest for tomorrow.
