Love at First Fight

The Labyrinth of Gedref part 2

Continued from last chapter and that's the ring at the end of this one

I agreed and left her with him. I did simple things showered, brushed my hair and teeth. I even picked out my outfit as well as Jade's for tomorrow. I left and proceeded to head back to Arthur's room. 
Arthur's POV 
   After Willow left I started talking to Merlin and hoped Jade wasn't listening. "Merlin I need your opinion." He nodded. "Okay?" I took a deep breath in. "Do you think I should propose to Willow or wait?" His face shot into pure joy. "You should do it now! Well wait until this is over and then do it!" I heard the scrambling of feet and whipped my head to see Jade jump on me. "You're going to marry mommy!??!!!" I laughed. "Only if she says yes." I hope she says yes. The rest of the time merlin and myself planned what to do for these 'trials.' 
      Shortly after Willow walked in. "Hello love!" She greeted back with a kiss and a hello. She picked up Jade and sat her on the bed. "I can see why you'd want to do that." I looked over to Merin with a slightly confused face. "You obviously love her and she makes a great mother." I nodded. "I do and she does." With that we left to the forest.
Willow's POV 
      I wasn't exactly listening to Jade ramble on about everything. I was too busy thinking about what the new maids were saying about me. 'She just with him for the status.' Like okay no I am a royal. 'Ugh did you see she has a kid!' Yeah shes adopted stupid bimbo. They didn't stop there thy kept getting nasty. "Mama!" I looked at Jade. "Yes dear?" She pointed to the window. "Oh it's getting dark. Do you wanna stay here or go to mama's room?" She spoke in a tired voice saying here. I plucked Jade from the bed, pulled the covers back and layed down. 
   I awoke to a bright light and giggles. "Mama the king sent a maid for you as well as a gift." I rolled out of bed and looked at the maid. "It's a dress for the both of you. Told me to help you put it on." I nodded and stood up as she helped me dress. Why? I have no clue considering I can dress myself. She quickly dressed Jade after me and off we went. "Mama I heard that really important people are here." I nodded. "Really I wonder who." We walked into the throne room and I gasped. "Mother! Father! It's so nice to see you guys!" They hugged me and looked at Jade. "Who's this lovely little lady?" My father spoke in a soft but strong voice. "This is Jade, my adopted daughter!" Mom picked her up and hugged her. "You are just so adorable!" I laughed at my mother as dad spoke with Uther. "How is Arthur honey?" I began telling her about what's been happening. "I mean he was warned but everything seems to be fine now. I believe he's on his second trial right now." She nodded and told me to go talk to dad. Being the good child I am I did just that. "Hello father." 
   Jade's POV
 "Grandma do you want to know a secret!?" She nodded her head. "Do tell dear." I got really close to her ear. "Daddy wants to marry mommy but is going to wait to do so." Granny looked surprised that I said that. "Now where did you hear that?" I told her daddy and uncle Merlin were talking about it.  She smiled and started talking about other things.
    Willow's POV 
  Father was talking about what happened at our castle with Uther and didn't greet back. I sighed looked back at mom and left for a few. No I'm not leaving my child with my mom forever, I just want them to bond. A few hours passed and I went to grab Jade so I could bathe her. "Hey mommy when will daddy be home?" I washed her hair while replying. "He should be home sometime tomorrow love." I finished bathing and dressing her. "I hope he does what he was talking about." She giggled quietly to herself. "And what is that love?" She froze and ran off to eat. "I swear they conspire against me. I love them anyway."  I made it to dinner and sat down. Conversation rang from both sides of me. Mom, Jade and Morgana sat talking and dad sat speaking to Uther. I wish Arthur was here. I know he's only been gone for a day at most. Dinner finished and I put Jade to bed. I didn't sleep most of the night. Instead I painted my emotions away. I painted Arthur holding Jade from memory. When done I sat staring at the painting with a big smile. I think it's time for the sleeps. Yes the sleeps. I went off to bed. 
   That night I slept exactly 4 hours. I was up before Jade so I changed and got clothes ready for Jade. Today I let her dress herself and walk down to breakfast. Normally I would do it but she is a big girl. "Mama can you tie this for me?" I grabbed the strings and tied her dress. We quickly walked into the throne room. I heard Jade gasped and went running. "Daddy!" Mom awed and dad smiled at them. Arthur picked her up and hugged her. "Hello sweetie!" I swear they are so cute. He sat her down after hugging and greeting her and turned to me. I hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Nice to see you dear." We parted and sat to eat. I can tell Arthur lied about killing the sorcerer but oh well. After breakfast Arthur left to do something in town and come back right after. 
    About 10 minutes passed as we were still in the throne room chatting up a storm when Arthur walked in with a big smile on his face. "Willow can you come here please?" I nodded and walked over to him. When I stopped in front of him he took my hand. "Willow I have come to love you in such a deep manner. I've thought and I've come to the conclusion that I want you for the rest of my life. Will you Willow Armon marry me?" I started crying and nodded my head in a yes manner. "I would love to marry you! Yes a thousand times over!" He slipped the ring on my finger and hugged me. Everyone clapped and cheered. Jade ran up to us and we picked her up in our group hug. "I love you so much Willow. I'm so glad you said yes." The rest of the day we walked around town and just stayed in each others company.
