*Joe's face in this gif... that is all*

I stumbled to carry my luggage up the stairs to my flat, while Roger managed to hold on to my elbow and his bags. Deaky fumbled with his key ring before finding the key to our flat. We all took a sigh of relief, as we placed our bags by the door.

"Bagsy on taking a shower first!" Deaky shouted, making his way into his bedroom.

The first thing I wanted to do was take a long nap, but I knew I should unpack my things. I picked up my luggage once again, and threw them on top of my bed, as Roger followed. He leaned up against the door frame, wearing his navy blue jumper and a pair of jeans.

"You're not much help just standing there," I quipped.

"I know love, I'm just enjoying the view," he smirked.

"What view? I look ragged," I frowned, unzipping my bag and sprawling my clothes out on the bed, sectioning them off into piles.

"You always look stunning and you know it," he smiled, walking over and taking some of my clothes to put in their respective places.

As he was packing my stuff away for me, it was then I had remembered what I had told my father standing in the hallway that one spring weekend. I wanted Roger to move in with me, but by the looks of it there was truly no space for him. There were only two bedrooms in John and I's flat, a tiny kitchen with a table in it, and a living area with a couch, TV, and coffee table. My bedroom was fairly small, and it wasn't that we couldn't make it work, it's just where would all his stuff go. Also, sharing a bathroom with one person was hard enough, Roger would be a tight addition. Still though, part of me thought I should ask, just to see his response, or if he would even think of making that next step with me.

"Rog," I mumbled, leaning against my chest of drawers.

"What is it love? You alright?" He kissed the top of my forehead, and faced me for a moment.

"I've been thinking, we've been dating for many months now, almost a year- and I was thinking, what do you say moving in with me?" I asked shyly, walking over to sit on my bed.

"Y/N, have you seen the size of this place? It's filled to the brim, this apartment is clearly only made for the two of you. I mean, where would my drum kit go? Or all my furniture?"

"What furniture? That leather recliner?" I laughed.

"I'm serious, Y/N. Why don't you stay with me instead? I know we could make something work."

Roger plopped down beside me, and pulled me into a hug. I rested in his arms, contemplating an answer.

"What about John?" I asked before Deaky popped in my doorway.

"What about me??" His towel still around his hips, as he leaned up against the paneling.

"John go away! Eavesdropper!" I shouted, throwing my pillow at him.

He threw his arms up in defense, laughing, "It's not a very private conversation if I'm involved in it!"

I got up and pushed him out of my bedroom, slamming the door, "You'll know when I decide to tell you!" I shouted, making my way back over to Roger who just giggled like a child at the whole scene that had just unraveled in front of him.

"Seriously Y/N, what about John?" Roger asked.

"What about rent? He will never be able to afford this place on his own, I can't just leave him," I sighed.

Roger set his elbows on his knees, sitting in deep thought, "Aha! I got it!" He yelled jumping up off the bed.

"Today Junior, tell me!"

"Well, I know Brian and Izzy aren't moving in together any time soon. They are enjoying the beginning stages, like we did! And Brian's roommate is an arse, he can't stand him. Brian can just move in here!"

I didn't mind the idea, but what would happen if Bri and Izzy eventually wanted a place together? I guess that was a problem to solve at another time, I got up and swung my door open, "John now you can come in!"

John appeared again, now fully clothed holding a mug of coffee. He smiled cheerfully and sat down cross legged on the floor.

"So, John. What if I moved out of here and Brian moved in?" I asked, fidgeting my hands.

John appeared shocked, but not angry, "have you consulted Brian about this? where ya going Y/N?"

"Well Deaky, no we haven't, but we are going to. Y/N and I, we were thinking of taking things one more step further and moving in together," Roger smiled, taking my hand in his.

John stood up from his position, and took his coffee, "As long as you can find someone to cover the other half of rent, consider it fine. I knew this was going to come one day. I'm going to miss you as my roommate Y/N."

And just like that, John was out of the room and the door was shut again, leaving Roger and I alone.

"Well love, we should probably talk to Brian and get this all sorted out!" Roger leaped up heading for the kitchen.

I stayed there, sat on my bed for a couple moments longer. I could tell that John was sad, we've done everything together since we were kids. This was our dream, to live in London together. Things change though, and it isn't like I won't be over here all the time or see him at every band function.

As I made my way to the kitchen, I peered into Deaky's room, where he had his stereo blasting Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks. He laid back against his headboard, sulking in his room. I knew that he was sad about the whole ordeal, but Brian won't be so bad, as long as he accepts our proposal.

"You think he could turn down the music now?" Roger said, annoyed with Deaky's constant blaring of the stereo.

"This is partially his apartment Rog, he's just upset. Let him be. Did you talk to Brian?" I said, patting Roger's knee.

"I rang him about an hour ago, I just told him to come over so we could talk to him," Roger practically had to yell so I could hear him.

We sat there a moment longer, until there was a knock at the door.

"Hey Brian! Come on in, want anything to drink? I know we have some pops in the fridge," I smiled greeting him at the door.

"Hey, Y/N! I'd love one, thanks" he said, pulling me into an embrace under one arm.

I made my way to the kitchen to grab us all some drinks, then decided to politely ask Deaky to turn down his music and to let him know Brian was here.

"Hey John- John!" I screamed over the music. He walked over to his stereo and turned the volume knob down.

"Hey Y/N, what's up?" He gave me a half smile.

"Brian's here, if you'd like to turn down the music and come discuss with us the moving situation," I had realized how blunt I had sounded but there is no turning back now.

"Nah, It's okay. I'll slip on some headphones. Do tell me what Brian says, yeah?" He said, as he went to close the door.

I nodded and made my way back to the boys.

"So it's settled then, Bri." I smiled at him.

Brian had agreed to move in with Deaky, and Roger and I couldn't be happier that my replacement was one of John's band mates and best friends. John had made his way out to the kitchen to make himself a bite to eat. Brian nodded at us, and got up to go talk to him.

"Hey Deaky, looks like we are going to be roommates!" Brian smiled, putting his arm around John.

"At least it's you and not some stranger." Deaky mumbled.
