Chapter 2

It was 11PM and you were waiting on Colby to call or text. You figured he was almost done at the arena, so you decided to change clothes. You put on your black high waisted jeans and tucked in your plain white T-Shirt and put on your black heels. You dug through your suitcase and found your black leather jacket and put it by the door. You were touching up your makeup when your phone dinged. It was a text from Colby.

?: Hey, it's Colby. I'm just now getting back to my room. Give me 20 minutes to shower and change and I'll be at your room

You: Okay, sounds good

You put your phone in your back pocket and finished touching up your makeup. About 15 minutes later, there was a knock on the door. You looked through the peep hole and saw Colby. You opened the door and saw Colby standing there wearing black jeans, a grey V neck T-Shirt, and black sneakers with his black leather jacket. You noticed that the two of you matched for the most part and you both laughed. "Maybe I should go back and change into my white T-Shirt. Then we'd definitely match". You both laughed and Colby asked if you were ready to go. You said yes and threw your room key in your purse and walked back to the door.

Down at the hotel bar, you could see that it was full so Colby leaned down and whispered in your ear. "I think we should just go to the liquor store and make our own drinks in my room". You smiled and said that sounded fun, so the two of you made your way out to Colby's rental car and went to the liquor store. You waited in the car and Colby went in to get Teqiula and margarita mix. You were scrolling through Twitter on your phone when you got a text from your sister.

Steph: Hey! Paul and I are going to grab a bite to eat.. You wanna come with us?

You: No, I'm good. I'm out with a friend

Steph: A friend?

You: Yeah, Colby. We were gonna go to the hotel bar, but it was full so we came to the liquor store for Tequila and margarita mix. Heading back to his room or mine. Grabbing a bite to eat

Steph: Have fun *inster winky face emoji*

You: You're such a perv lmao

Just as you hit send, Colby opened the car door and got in and handed you the bag. "So, now that we have alcohol, you wanna go grab take out? My treat" "Sure! Chinese?" "Sounds good". Colby smiled at you and started the car and headed off to Panda Express where you got orange chicken, fried rice, and noodles.

Back at the hotel, you followed Colby up to his room and he paused before unlocking the door. "Colby.. What's wrong?" "Are you okay with going to my room? I didn't ask earlier" "Yeah, it's fine. But hurry, I'm hungry". The two of you laughed and Colby unlocked the door and turned on the lights. It was a simple room with one King size bed and a balcony. You sat down at the table in the corner and started pulling the food out and put Colby's food down in front of the empty seat beside you as Colby mixed up margaritas. "So, you didn't get the chance to tell me the whole story with your ex-boyfriend. What happened?" "Well... It started out that my schedule was keeping me away from home. We moved in together in Tampa. I was at a live taping for NXT in Orlando and was gonna spend the night, but decided to surprise him and go home so I drove back to Tampa and walked in on him in bed with another woman" "Damn. That's harsh" "Yeah, I haven't talked to him since. I told him I was done and moved into an apartment in Orlando close to where we tape NXT" "Well, I'm glad you're not in that relationship anymore". Colby smiled and held your hand comfortingly. He pulled his hand away after a few seconds and you guys finished eating and continued talking and drinking well into the night.

Around 3 AM, you were both pretty drunk so Colby decided to walk you to your room which was at the opposite end of the hall as his. Once you got to your room, you fumbled around in your purse looking for your room key and dropped your purse. Colby immediately bent down and picked it up, putting what fell out back in and handed you your room key and your purse. You unlocked the door and said goodnight when Colby grabbed you by your left elbow and you turned around. "It really was nice to catch up with you". You turned around and faced him and smiled. "I had a really good time tonight, Colby. We definitely need to do this again". Colby took a step forward and hugged you goodbye and as you were pulling away, you stopped and the two of you looked into each other's eyes. Colby stepped closer to you and you froze. He gently placed his left hand on the right side of your neck and bent down and you closed your eyes. Colby was so close to you that you could feel his breath. You put your right hand on his left and he put his right hand on your hip and pulled you into him and kissed you. After he broke the kiss, he said goodnight and smiled at you and you said goodnight and walked into your room. Just as you were shutting the door, Colby leaned in and kissed you one more time before leaving. You shut the door and leaned against it. You couldn't believe he just kissed you. TWICE. You were too drunk and tired to change, so you kicked your shoes off and collapsed on the bed and quickly went to sleep.
