Chapter 29

After New Years, Colby headed back out onto the road and you were stuck at home. Being 7 months pregnant, you were too tired to travel anywhere.

It was a Thursday morning and you decided to take a shower and go to the grocery store. You put on a pair of maternity jeans and a white off the shoulder T-Shirt with a pair of slide on sneakers and let your hair air dry and put on a little bit of mascara. As you were making your way to the living room to get your keys and purse, there was a knock on the door. It was Stephanie. "Hey baby sis! How are you feeling?". You both sat on the couch and you put your purse down on the coffee table. "Other than being tired 24/7.. I feel great. The morning sickness has stopped. Finally". The two of you laugh and continue talking for a little while. "Where you getting ready to go out? I'm sorry if I -" "No, don't be sorry. I needed this. I only talk to people over FaceTime or phone calls. I was just going to the grocery store" "Well, I'll drive you. You don't need to be lifting grocery bags anyway. We can have sister time!". You laughed and she smiled and got up and helped you up. "You know, Colby talked to the neighbors and they all agreed to help me. There's a 14 year old boy across the street that carries in the groceries and helps me put them away. There's a woman next door that comes over to have tea once a week and she cleans. We have amazing neighbors" "That's really sweet of them. Now, let's go. I'm taking you for a mani/pedi and lunch and we can go get your groceries". The two of you made your way to Stephanie's rental car and headed out.

After you got to the nail salon, they did your manicures. You got a simple french tip with the acryllic nails that have the powder over them - you can never remember what it's called. After they were done, you sat in the massage chair as they did your pedicure. Stephanie snapped a selfie of the two of you sitting there and posted it to Instagram: "Flew down to Galveston to surprise my sister with a girls day before the baby gets here. Mani/pedi's and girl talk. Love you!". She tagged you and hit post. You liked it and commented pink hearts. The two of you spent the rest of the time enjoying the massage on your calves when Stephanie handed you her phone and you saw Colby's comment: "My girl! I love and miss her and my baby girl so much. Love them both. Have fun!". You handed Stephanie her phone back and started to cry. "Hey, hey.. I didn't mean to make you cry!" "No, it's okay, Steph. It's the damn hormones. I miss him so much". Stephanie grabbed your hand and started talking again.

After the two of you left, you went to lunch and went to get groceries. After you were done, you headed home and Stephanie put your things away and headed back to the airport to go off for a live event. You called Colby over FaceTime and spent an hour or two talking to him and laughing at how active your baby became when she heard Colby's voice. She was always active whenever you talked to her, but it made you happy to see the bond that her and Colby already have. It was amazing.

The next day, you got up and stayed in your pajamas until noon and decided to take a walk on the treadmill. Not too fast; you set the speed to how it would be walking on the beach. You had on your black capris leggings and a baby pink racerback tank top and your sneakers. You had tied them to where they were loose enough to slide on, but not so loose they would be an issue walking. You were in the middle of a walk when you heard your doorbell ring and you headed to answer the door. Once you got to the door, you looked out the peep hole and saw Galina - Joe's (Roman Reigns) wife. You quickly opened the door. "Hey Gal! What are you doing here?". You opened the door wider and let her inside and and she followed you to the couch. "I just wanted to come over for a visit. Joe's back at work and the kid's are staying with their grandparents" "Are you sure that's all?" "Weelll... Since Joe's been back to work (I forgot to add into the story where Roman Reigns announces his cancer is back.. Sorry guys!!), I FaceTime him a lot and he's with Colby most of the time and... He asked me to come stay with you until he comes home" "Why would he do that?" "He's worried about you, girl. Joe says all he does is text you and check his social media accounts and go to the gym. He doesn't talk to anyone in catering or walk around backstage.." "I feel bad.. I always seem to forget that he's about to be a father just as much as I'm about to be a mother" "Don't beat yourself up about it, Rachael. Joe was the same way when I was pregnant with our middle and youngest kids. He was around for the whole thing with the first. Colby's got someone to talk to". You smiled at her and the two of you went to lunch.

It's finally Tuesday and Colby's coming home. The two of you were planning on spending the next week relaxing and spending time with each other and you couldn't wait. Once Colby got home, the two of you went into the nursery and talked as Colby put the crib together. The weekend Shane was here, him and Colby painted the nursery and set up the changing table and a rocking chair. You were gently rocking in the chair rubbing your belly as you watched Colby. You had gotten a beautiful white crib with pink sheets. Colby had gotten the bedding that goes around the edges of the crib so when she starts rolling over, she wouldn't get hurt by hitting the sides of the crib. You loved how protective he was of her already.

After the crib was put together, Colby put the sheets on and threw the pink crocheted blanket his mom made over the side of the crib and hung the mobile on the hanger on the crib and stood back to make sure everything was right. Once he was 100% sure he was finished, he took your hand and pulled you up out of the chair and wrapped his arms around you. Your baby shower was the first Saturday in February so all you had right now was a crib, changing table, a rocking chair, and the outfit you're bringing her home in. You and Colby had gone shopping and found a white onesie that said 'Hello World' in cursive with a matching pink tutu and a white headband with a pink flower on it. You and Colby bought it and decided to bring her home in that outfit. You turned around in Colby's arms and buried your face in his chest and hugged him tightly and breathed in his cologne. You wore Colby's T-Shirts when he wasn't here, but it was nothing compared to this. "Hey, I talked to Stephanie about me taking off for when she's born... She's giving me the entire month of March off and I'm going back the Monday before Mania to challenge for the WWE Championship at Mania" "Oh my gosh! That's amazing!". You kissed him and he smiled into the kiss and sighed happily. 2 more months and you would have a beautiful baby girl in your arms.

On Monday morning, Colby got up and got dressed and was about to leave when he forgot his glasses and ran back upstairs to get them without waking you up, but he hit his foot on the bed and woke you up. "Colby?" "Yeah, it's me. I tried getting out before you woke up, but I forgot my glasses" "No, no, it's okay. Come here" *Colby walked over to you and you grabbed his hand and pulled him down to kiss him* "Now I'm glad I hit my foot". You smiled and giggled and he rubbed your belly. The baby kicked a few times every hour, but would quiet down whenever you laid down. She was such a good baby already.. You hoped she would be like this after she was born. Colby rubbed your belly and talked to her. "Alright, baby girl. I have to leave, but I'll be back at the end of the month to prepare for your baby shower. Be good for mommy, okay?". She kicked a couple of times where Colby's hand was and Colby kissed your belly and then you and left. After a couple of minutes, she quieted down and you were able to go back to sleep.
