Chapter 21

It was now Friday morning and you and Colby were sitting in hair and makeup getting ready for your interview. You were twisting your emgagement ring back and forth on your finger as they did your makeup with pink smokey eye and winged eyeliner and nude lipstick. Your hair was down in it's natural curls as it always was and you were wearing white high waisted shorts and a long sleeve black crop top and pale pink heels. Colby had on his black slacks and a white button down shirt tucked in with a black tie and his black shoes and had his hair pulled back in a low bun.

Once you were introduced, you and Colby made your way onto the stage and sat on the couch; waving to the audience. Colby sat closest to Ellen and was holding your left hand in his right.

Ellen: Good Morning, guys. How are you?

Colby: We're great, thanks for asking

Ellen: So, show off that ring for us!

*Colby let go of your hand and you lifted it up and the camera zoomed in*

Ellen: It's beautiful; how long did you have the ring before you proposed?

Colby: I actually bought it when we got home from our 2 year Anniversary trip. We were visiting her parents in Connecticut and I was sleeping in the guest room across the hall from her bedroom. I snuck out of the house before anyone got up and went to the jewlery store. I had been talking to a ring designer there for about 2 months and he emailed the night before saying it was ready. I had a plan to propose on Valentine's Day, but I thought that was too cheesey so I had no idea when I would do it. When she gave me the tickets to Cozumel, I knew that's when I needed to do it. She wouldn't see it coming if I did it a week before Christmas

*Colby smiled at you and you smiled back*

Ellen: That is so sweet. How did you do it?

Colby went on to tell the story of your engagement. Reliving it made you feel all the love you felt that night.

Ellen: That sounds pretty amazing, did you get any pictures?

You: Yes, I think we actually brought them

*The pictures start showing on the background monitor*

Ellen: That is so precious. Have you set a date yet?

Colby: Yes! We decided on April 27, 2019

Ellen: A little over a year away, why so long?

You: We wanted to enjoy just being engaged and have time to plan our dream wedding. In our business, you don't really have time to enjoy the time you have as an engaged couple. We've seen coworkers/friends plan a wedding in a couple of months and be stressed the whole time. We don't want that to happen to us

Colby: We're gonna be getting back from our honeymoon the week before our Saudi Arabia Pay Per View, but we just want to enjoy this time together

Ellen: Do you two plan on having kids pretty fast after getting married?

Colby: We want kids, yes, but I'll be turning 32 in May of that year and she'll be turning 25 that June. We'll probably wait a year or two before we have a kid. Her career is just now taking off

The rest of the interview went by flawlessly and you and Colby had a pretty good time. After the interview was over, you headed straight to the next city for a Live Event and then Monday Night RAW where you would have a match. The live event wasn't being televised, so you were only making a backstage appearance.
