Fukase slumped haphazardly against the wall, still asleep. At least another hour had passed and Point had climbed back onto his shoulder. Nothing could be heard besides quiet, shallow breathing. All living things were peaceful.

Unknowingly to them though, the wall behind the two of them wasn't evaporating at a random pace anymore. The strange material that made them began to corrode and crumble away for no reason at all. Eventually, these chips of makeshift drywall began to rain down in intervals. They landed on anything that was in its way, including a particular sleepy boy. This rudely awakened him out of a dream. He raised a pale hand to rub his eyes but as he did, a chip fell on his wrist.

"Ugh, what is this?" He held a small sliver of the wall in his hand. Quickly, the dark color intersected by an electrified blue-green stood out to him. Surprized, Fukase scrambled away from where he leaned and looked up.

There wasn't just a hole in the wall now, no, it looked like the aftermath of a small explosion. Nothing was perfectly curved anymore. The gap was slightly shorter than the average doorframe and was a few inches off of the ground. Cracks formed on the fringes of the damage that had already been dealt. Some jagged pieces of the wall exposed a white membrane frame. In the room behind the wall, sparks of multicolored light flew at impossible speeds horizontally.

Fukase's face was stricken with fear and concern. This wasn't like what it was just a few hours ago. He'd seen this destruction before. The editor was becoming c̯ͬo̠̟͕ͨ͗ȑ̝̳͎ͣͥ̑̏r͎̻͈u͉p͍ͤ̔̐̇͌̈́ẗ̟́e̝͎̎͊̂̊̒̽d̫̻̲̱͕.

Dread took over his emotions. "No... not now!" He'd have to leave or risk death by staying in the computer and breaking the entire Vocaloid program in the process. Instinctively, the vocaloid ran to retrieve the tablet and find a way into the internet data. But, he stopped when the smooth glass touched his palm and reminded him of his promise.

"(Y/n)! I was going to get out! I can't back out now! Is she waiting for me?" Fukase backtracked and searched through the computer files for the webcam. He found it and was relieved to see her bent over in her chair. His breathing slowed to a calmer speed but was still fairly fast. "Now, how do I get her attention? She isn't in the editor right now so...? Oh, nevermind." (Y/n)'s mouth moved as if she was talking to herself as her microphone connected.

The plan is now to be set in motion.

(Y/n) connected like usual, unaware of the current situation. To her, it's just a normal early Sunday morning when dawn is nowhere near the horizon. She's wasting her time, yet again. The teen should be resting but checking on the person that lives in her computer matters more.

  "Hey, you there Fukase?"

For a few seconds, all she heard was sharp hyperventilation. "(Y/n)! There you are! It's... ah..."

  "What's-"

He cut her off. "I have to get out of here! Quickly! This place isn't stable anymore!" She immediately knew what was happening and panicked. Something as important as this, happening right now?? The fear of messing up already shook through her mind despite the lack of instructions so far.

"Really? Oh, u-uh, what exactly are you-"

"(Y/n), I'm so sorry, but Vocaloid might not completely work after this. I won't be in there anymore so the vocals-... Oh no..." Something fell with a crash in the background. "I-if your screen lights up soon, reach into it. That should work..." More muffled noises were heard for about a minute, then silence. "It's hard to believe I get to leave this place. Thank you for everything, and see you soon!" The microphone cut off with a loud shriek as the indicator light turned red for the last time. At the same time, pixels began to glitch on the screen's borders.

Swiftly, (Y/n) tried to prepare herself for the next few minutes of her life. She closed what seemed to be millions of tabs and pushed loose papers out from underneath her keyboard.

"This'll help, right?" She nervously laughed and closed her eyes for a few seconds. When they opened again, the monitor was engulfed by strange electric blue sparks. The screen itself shone like the blazing sun. Fearfully, (Y/n) stood from her chair and reapproached her desk. Without sparing a moment to rethink her choices, she extended her (left/right) arm forward.

(Y/n) squinted as she reached into the shining light. Blindly, she waved her outstretched hand side to side to show where the exit was. Blue sparks continued to dance on her skin and made her cringe at the sensation they left behind. It felt like her hand fell asleep again and again.

Something moved in the distance and created a break in the light, so small it was hard to notice. Suddenly, another hand grasped her own. With as much strength as she could, (Y/n) pulled with her right arm and staggered backward. Somebody fell onto her as the light abruptly cut off.
