The stranger's hood fell back as they spoke. White lavender-tinted hair was clutched around their head, with one black streak interrupting the solid color. Their hair was cut short before it could pass their face. Their skin was a light creamy color, and their eyes - no, her eyes - were a deep, unnatural purple. A small smile broke through her usually emotionless face, one Fukase knew well.

"Flower!" Fukase shouted as a large smile spread across his face. He shoved his hat back on his head and ran to his old friend. Flower jumped to her feet just as quickly as he ran, and met him with open arms. They embraced each other tightly, not wanting to let go yet. Flower eventually broke away.

"You got out too then. Ah, I'm so glad you did." Flower spoke in her familiar tomboyish voice. Her English was masked by her Japanese accent but was still understandable.

"Who helped you?" Fukase asked. Flower tilted her head.

"Helped? I just found some passageway and popped into someone's room. They were nervous at first, but let me explain everything. They're cool." She fiddled with the edge of her long hoodie while speaking. Fukase's eyes widened in slight surprise. There were other ways to get out of the software? That didn't matter now, though.

"You got a good friend too then!" His voice that spoke sing-song words raised just a bit higher as (Y/n) came to mind. He clasped his hands together behind him.

"Are you guys close? Who are they?" She asked, interested. Intending to talk for a while, Flower lowered back onto the swing. Being people that escaped to a computer and jumped to different ones for a while, they'd talk about anything remotely interesting. The other Vocaloid sat on the one next to her.

"So her name's (Y/n). She's the nicest real human person that ever existed, seriously! I found a way to talk through the lyric entry, and she actually talked to me!" Fukase rambled. "She helped me get out and was able to convince her parents to let me stay, and she has a good room she decorated herself, and she's very kind. Her personality and her body are both beautiful. She showed me a lot about the human world too. And... there's something else." He looked down, bashful about his feelings.

"Something else?" Flower questioned. She looked into his eyes, curious.

"Yeah, um... did you ever sing any of those songs about love? The ones where the lyrics make you sound like you're desperate and head over heels? It's like that. I think about her a lot and her smile makes me want to melt. But something is kinda different." Flower nodded. "How different?"

"(Y/n) has family, and I can't stand it when they take up her time. Her sister spends lots of time with her, but she doesn't deserve it. They're just sisters. They don't need each other. She has no idea how precious (Y/n) is. And this one guy at her school- he thinks he can do anything. But what the hell does he know? He reminds me of those people." Fukase gripped the edge of his coat as a shadow cast over his eyes. "We both remember what happened to them, right? I want to do that to them. If they're not here, they can't have her. In the end, (Y/n) is all that matters. I love her, I want to be there for her, and there's only one way to guarantee that." His last sentence slurred into a growl.

"(Y/n) is really special to me." Fukase heavily breathed in and out as he stared at the woodchips below his feet. Flower only stared, stricken of words.

"I... I didn't know that's what you meant. But by them, you mean the doctors?" She finally spoke. The redhead nodded his head.

"You want to... harm them?..." Her voice shook. She only repeated what hung in her mind at that moment. In her mind, she already knew that was true.

The two singers sat in silence for a minute. Flower looked down at her friend with upturned eyebrows and concern in her irises. Fukase eventually looked back up at her with an expression void of his previous rage.

"What's yours like?" He asked with a flat voice.

"They're... unique. Have a bunch of antiques and a couple of cats. They really only do stuff at night. Sometimes they bake bread. They're nonbinary too. Weirdest thing is they have a picture of my face on their wall..." Flower paused often, seemingly having trouble talking about them.

"Also- I looked through their song files and they made music with your voice. Weird, edgy stuff in some series thingy." That sounded familiar.

"Colorful bars guy?" "Colorful bars guy."

Fukase and Flower had separated with the promise of meeting again in a few days. Something was different between them now that they weren't confined in technology anymore, or maybe because Fukase admitted something he held in for so long.

"She doesn't understand, probably never will." He mumbled to himself when he returned home, where he waited for (Y/n) to arrive. Like usual, he was overjoyed when she finally showed up. However, she didn't stay in the hug for long.

"I'm going to help Allie pack for her camp tomorrow. Want to join us?" Fukase hesitated before nodding. More time with (Y/n) is time well spent, he thought, but Allie... He shot a glance at the older sister. She already began walking up the stairs, the charms on her backpack clinking together in a horrible rhythm. (Y/n) climbed up behind her. Begrudgingly, he followed.

Allie's room was slightly cluttered. A few boxes of things she swore she'd eventually give away were stacked by her closet. Her bed was sloppily made and some old clothes stuck out from underneath it. The stack of dust-covered DVDs by her t.v had fallen long ago.

"I'll get the clothes I need out of my closet, then we can fold them. (Y/n), can you get my stuff out of the bathroom?" She asked, glancing at her younger sister. She nodded and ran to the bathroom, rummaging around. Allie went to her closet, ripping out a few things that'd last her the week. She pulled out her duffle bag too.

She threw the things on her bed, before noticing the stare directed at her. Fukase leaned against the wall, watching her every move.

"Hey, dude, can you stop that? It's creepy." The black-haired girl commented. He didn't break his gaze, in fact, he seemed to watch her closer. She shuttered before forcing her self to just ignore him. Eyes traced her every move as she shoved shoes into her bag to accepting her toiletries from the hands of her sister. When the two began folding clothes and talking about the most useless things, Fukase coughed.

"Excuse me." He speed-walked to the bathroom door, closing it behind him. The girls watched him leave, (Y/n) staring for longer than Allie.

"What's his problem? Some friend you have sis." Allie grumbled, stuffing another shirt inside her duffel bag. (Y/n) didn't reply as she gave the door one final worried glance, before resuming her work.

Just the mere sight of her disgusts him. This girl, thinking (Y/n) meant just as much to her as she did to him, was selfish. She definitely made her help her pack, right? She saw her as worthless, just a little sister there for her to have her way with.

Fukase bit his lip as he curled up on the toilet seat, surrounded in darkness. He needed to be away. Stay away. Allie would need to be dying for him to stay near her.

Dying... Fukase reminisced his conversation with Flower earlier that day. The doctors, before he left, tried to pull him back. They wanted to throw shackles around his ankles and wrists before throwing him in another room. That's when he decided he had enough.

The small knife left on a tool tray proved to be more destructive than expected. It tore through their skin way too easily. Veins and tendons split. Blood spattered everywhere as the bleeding victims tried to fight back. By the end of it all, the blade was stained red and smelled strongly of iron. A few bodies lay in front of him, twitching. Adrenaline shot through his body the whole time.

"That it. That's the only choice." He mumbled to himself.
