It was the day of the drag race between the serpents and the ghoulies. Nearly all of the teens in riverdale were going including Freddie. She knew she would most likely see Sweetpea there and that made her beyond excited.

She arrived at the race with Kevin and the two met up with Veronica and Betty to watch the race. "Not the kind of drag race I expected myself going to put atleast the guys are hot" Kevin said causing Freddie to nearly choke on her drink. As she looked around she caught sight of Sweetpea staring at her, once he noticed she was looking back he winked causing the girl to go as red as Cheryl's lipstick.

As the race begun everyone was anxiously awaiting the return of the winner. Toni was sat with Sweetpea and Fangs talking to them about some Northsider who was rude to her. As Toni was talking she noticed that Sweetpea wasn't listening at all and instead was staring at Freddie, the Northsider who had served them at pops the night of the fundraiser. Toni rolled her eyes before whacking Sweetpea in the back of the head. "Helloooo, earth to Sweetpea!" She yelled looking at the boy. "Ow what was that for" he replied rubbing the back of his head. "If you stare at her any longer lasers might shoot out of your eyes" Toni said rolling her eyes once again at Sweetpea. "Shut up topaz! I was not staring" Sweetpea rebutted angrily. "Oh yes you were" fangs said laughing. All Sweetpea did in respond was roll his eyes and elbow the smaller boy. "Just go talk to her" Toni said. "Okay I will" Sweetpea said standing up.

Just as Sweetpea was about to go talk to Freddie a ghoulie ran around yelling that the cops were here. Everyone quickly rushed to their vehicles including Freddie and before Sweetpea could say anything to her she was gone. Sweetpea sighed to himself and quickly got on his motorbike driving off.
