Ch.31

ONE WEEK LATER

Ross's P.O.V.

Another day of school AKA place of doom.

I was walking to my class when I noticed a large group of people surrounding something.

"Get your homecoming dance tickets! Only $5.99!

Homecoming? Omg! ....maybe Laura and I could....

All of a sudden I was blinded by an angel, she was beautiful..

AKA Laura.

"Hey Ross!" She stood on her tippie toes trying to kiss me..and still couldn't reach me. I'm so darn tall.

"Jerk" . She mumbled and I laughed.  Then I picked her up and kissed her.

After we parted, she looked over at the large crowd.

"What's everybody looking at?"

"Homecoming is coming up and people are trying to buy tickets

"Oh."

" Yeah".

We started having this awkward tension that I never felt with Laura before. She might be expecting me to ask her to the dance.

"Soo.."

"Soo.."

"Oh! Class is about to start, I don't wanna be late. Bye Ross! "

"Bye baby girl. " I winked at her as she blushed and walked away.

God I loved it when she blushes.

When I knew for a fact that she was gone, I raced over to the table where they were selling tickets.

"Two tickets please! " I said grinning ear to ear.

The lady at the table smiled, "You are just in time, these are the last two tickets! "

Laura 's P.O.V.

After class, I walked by the table where they had the homecoming tickets.  I saw the lady and asked for two tickets.

"Im so sorry, but we're sold out. "

My heart sank.  I really wanted to go to homecoming. I'll at home all alone, while my friends are having the time of their lives.

I felt so bad for myself, I started to cry.

Trish saw me and ran up to me looking worried.

"You didn't get homecoming tickets, did you? "

I shook my head as I cried some more.

Trish hugged me and rubbed my back. 

"Don't cry Laura, your not gonna spend the night alone.  I will give up my tickets to somebody else and hang at your house."

"No don't do that Trish, I will be fine, I promise."

"Are you sure ?"

"Yeah."

"Ok, well see yeah! " She said and walked off.

I sighed.  Now I was alone.  Great.

It was time to go home anyway.

I collected the last of my books and headed to my car.

Then I saw the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life.

Ross. On my car. Singing. 

A drop in the ocean, a change in the weather

Praying that you and me might end up together

It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert

But I'm holding you close cause you are my heaven.

Tears filled my eyes as I saw the rose petals in front of my car said, "Homecoming?" .

Ross stopped singing and looked at me smiling, waiting for an answer.

"Soo..? "

"..No."
