It took me a week and a half to perfect controlling the demon half of me. Vladamir and Gretchen both helped, and Lucifire just sat there watching like a useless piece of trash. Apparently it was 'disturbing' to her dumb ass.
I use the ability to control my demon side to mess with everyone, because I'm just that kind of person.

"Shadow? Can you come down here?" Gretchen called.
Ok now's my chance. I turned myself into my shadow demon and walked along the hall and downstairs. Did I mention I'm able to be completely invisible to the human eye? Shit is going good for once. I quietly made my way to where Gretchen was and walked behind him.
"Shadow!" He called again.
"Yes?" I responded, turning back into my human self.
"Jesus fuck!" He jumped and whipped around to face me, breathing heavily. Then he laughed, out of breath. "You should not be allowed to have the ability to do that." He fixed himself back up and then smiled at me.
"You needed?" I flopped down onto the couch.
"Ah, right. Shay I'm invited to a college party tonight and I was gonna see if you wanted to come with?" He asked.
"Woah, aren't you popular. Who got you into a college party?" I lifted one eyebrow at Gretchen.
"My dormmate Franz. He's a really good friend of mine." He said, smiling.
"Ah. Maybe. I don't know if partying is my thing." I turned my head to focus on the couch arm.
"I think it would be nice for you to get out more. You never let yourself leave the house. Plus, there will be alcohol." He said, like he was bargaining with me.
"Shit i'm in." I sat up and looked at Gretchen. He laughed and walked over to the couch and rested his elbows next to me.
"You drink too much." He smirked.
"You smoke too much." I said, returning the favor.
"Touché." He smiled and pulled out his phone to check the time. "Oh shit." He said.
"What?" I asked.
"The party is in an hour. I've gotta get ready. You too." He looked back at me.
"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" I asked.
"You've worn that hoodie three days in a row." He rolled his eyes.
I rolled my eyes. "So? No one there will know."
"Well, alright if that's what you want." Gretchen shrugged and turned around to go upstairs to get ready.
It's funny how Gretchen usually never argues. I figured I'd do this one thing for him and I went upstairs and threw on a red hoodie Gretchen gave me. I put on some ripped black skinny jeans and I went downstairs to wait for Gretchen to be ready.

We headed out twenty minutes early. The house the party was being thrown at was massive. I already got nervous. I think Gretchen noticed, because he gave me a look of concern.
"Shay you don't have to worry about this. I'll make sure everything goes alright, okay?" He said comfortingly, smiling at me.
I nodded. We both got out of the car and walked up to the house. We rang the doorbell and shortly after we rang it, a tall brunette male opened the door.
"Franz, it's one of yours!" He called. Another tall male appeared, but he had sandy blonde hair that curled up at the top. "What's up Gretchen. I see you brought your girl." The male had a higher pitched, softer voice. He looked like a stereotypical German.
"Oh, uh, yeah." Gretchen rubbed the back of his neck.
"I'm just messing with ya. Come in." The boy said. We walked in and he shut the door behind us. He turned to me and grabbed my hand, kissing it. "Hey luv, I'm Franz. You are?" He said. Gretchen let out a sigh from behind me.
"Shadow." I said, confused on why he was acting this way towards me.
"What a unique name. Come, I'll show you both around." He winked at me and began walking. Gretchen and I stayed a bit back.
"Does he always act like this?" I whispered.
"Sometimes. Don't pay mind to him, he's probably drunk." Gretchen said, no emotion in his voice. I didn't say anything in return.
Franz stopped at the kitchen, where multiple bottles of liquor and other drinks were set up, and food was scattered.
"Help yourself, what's here is all yours." He smirked at us, threw his arms up drunkenly, and then walked off.
"So much for showing us around." I chuckled. I walked over to where the alcohol was and poured myself a glass of vodka. I turned to Gretchen. "Want some?" I asked, pointing a cup in his direction.
"Uh, nah, I'm good." He smiled lightly at me. I shrugged and drank the vodka like it was water. I was starting to like being dead.
"Careful, you can still get drunk. Don't let yourself go wild, especially at a party like this." Gretchen warned, trying to protect me. I saw the anxiety in his eyes.
"I know, I know." I said, waving him off.

Thirty minutes passed and the place was packed with people. Some even looked like high schoolers. Everyone was drinking and seemingly having a good time. I wasn't having an awful time, until I made the biggest mistake of my life.
"I'll be right back Gretch, I'm gonna refill my drink." I yelled over the music, walking back to the kitchen. I decided on water because I was starting to feel tipsy and I didn't want Gretchen to be disappointed in me. I filled my cup and turned around, bumping into someone, and spilling my water all over them.
"Ah shit! I'm sorry." I said. I looked up to see a tall, tan skinned man. His hair was long and dark brown, with frosted tips. He had crystal blue eyes that perfectly reflected the party lights.
"Aha, it's cool. It's hot in here anyways." He chuckled. Then he looked at me with a brow raised. "Hey, do I know you?" He smiled, tilting his head.
"Uh, maybe?" I said. I wasn't that forgettable considering I looked like I just escaped a mental hospital.
"You were in my global class in high school! The norwegian foreign student. I do know you." He smiled.
"Haha, oh. Glad you remember me." I tried to sound nice.
"My names Kay." He held his hand out to shake. I shook it.
"I'm Shadow, in case you forgot." I semi-smiled.
"Can't forget such a name." He said. "Wanna go somewhere else? I'm gonna head upstairs to change my shirt if you wanna join?" He asked. If he wasn't acting nice I would've taken that as a 'i'm changing my shirt why don't you come with and undress with me', but he didn't come off as that guy. I shrugged and we headed for the stairs, shoving through a lot of people. We went upstairs and he motioned me to follow him into a room that thankfully had no one in it. Kay went into one of the dresser drawers and pulled out a t-shirt. He took off his long sleeve and changed into the shirt. Because he didn't give me a warning, I had to watch. He had a pretty nice build, but I was more focused on why I wasn't given a heads up to at least look away.
"Aight, that's better." He laughed, turning around. "So, what do you think of the party?" He asked.
      I shrugged. "Crazy."
"Hah, yeah. These parties always get wild." He sat down on the bed in the room, and patted the seat next to him. I cautiously took it.
"You go to the college here?" He asked.
"Uh, no. I decided college wasn't my thing." I messed with my phone in my hands.
"Ah, I get you. I wasn't going to go either, but Franz convinced me to." He chuckled. "Well, more like forced." He added.
"Is Franz always flirty around every female?" I asked.
"Yeah. Franz is a different kind of person. He flirts with everyone and will hook up with just about anyone, but never sticks to one girl. He claims he's too young to have to settle down, and that you've got to live life to the fullest. In my opinion, he probably doesn't even like women." He scoffed.
      "Ah." I nodded.
"Wanna get some drinks?" Kay asked. I turned to him, shrugging.
"Uh, I dunno. I've had quite a few..."
He nudged me. "Oh come on, it's a party! Just have a few more!" He exclaimed. I hesitantly agreed.

Well, a few turned into more than that, and soon even I was wasted.
"Ya know Shadow, you're pretty cool." Kay slurred.
"Hah, yeah. You too I guess." I said drunkenly.
"I think I really like you. Would you care to be more than friends?" He asked quickly, turning to me and putting an arm around me.
If I wasn't drunk, I would've thrown his arm off me and told him he was crazy, but I was. All I did was nod and feel my head fall into his shoulder. I would've fallen asleep if Gretchen hadn't ran into the room.
"Oh thank god! I thought something else was going on." He huffed. He saw Kay's arm around me and his shoulders slumped down.
"Heyyyy! My man Gretchen!" Kay smiled, stumbling to get up. He fumbled over to Gretchen and slung his arm around him. "Meet my new girlfriend Shadow." He chuckled and leaned forward a bit.
Gretchen gave Kay a dirty look. Then he turned to me. "Shay, I'm taking you home." He said angrily.
"What, why?" I asked, perking up. The alcohol effect was slowly wearing off, considering it only lasts a short time for me.
"Because I never should've taken you here." He walked over to me and stood me up. "Come on." He walked with me out of the room, trying to be gentle but his anger making him tug a little roughly. I glanced behind me and Kay mouthed "I'll call you" and smiled. I half smiled back and faced forwards again, walking out of the house and away from the party.
