The feeling of heartbreak and betrayal really got worse over time. I began just lying around the house as my shadow form most of the time. I discovered if I tried hard enough, I could lift myself off the ground. Floating was a weird feeling, but cool once you got used to it.
I began to feel like I was seeing things. The words "I heard this house is haunted" would ring through my ears at times. If I was half dead, wouldn't I be able to see the other dead people in this world?
The answer to that is yes.

"Shadow come out of hiding for a second, please?" Gretchen asked, walking into the living room.
I made myself visible enough to where he could see me.
"Oh, you can fly now too? You're just full of surprises, aren't you?" He teased.
"I suppose so." I shrugged.
"Anyways, Lucifire is staying home today. She doesn't have to work. I have to go to a few classes today but it won't be long." He slung his bag around his shoulder.
"Aight, cool. I'll just be here, probably fighting with Lucifire." I joked.
"Nothing intense please!" He begged.
"Ja ja ja. I can't promise anything." I saw something shift out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head, trying to see what was there.
"Everything good?" Gretchen asked, looking in the same direction.
"Ja, just tired." I said, turning back to face him, faking a smile.
"Rest while I'm gone, you probably need it. You've seemed stressed lately." He smiled at me and headed towards the door.
      "Ja, see ya." I waved.
"See ya." He opened the door and left.

I was watching some tv comedy show, slowly falling asleep when I felt someone in the room. I sat up on the couch and looked over the back of the couch. Nothing. I shrugged and turned back around.
      "Shadow."
I jumped and whipped around to see Lucifire behind me.
      I sighed. "What."
"Is this what you do all day? Sit on a couch and sleep?" She scoffed.
"Yeah, unlike you I'm dead and can't get a job." I sighed.
"You can still get a job dipshit." She rolled her eyes.
"Where? A haunted house?" I mocked.
"Go to hell." She said, walking away.
"I've been there since eight grade." I called, flipping her off even though she couldn't see it.
I turned back around and moments later, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Can't you leave me alone?!" I whipped around, but no one was there. What the fuck?
I slowly stood up from the couch, and walked to the other side incase there was someone hiding behind it. Nothing. Now I was confused.
"Hello?" I called, sounding like every horror movie ever. I heard a clanging noise from the kitchen. I walked over to it but nothing was in the kitchen besides two pots slightly moving, showing they'd just been messed with. I picked them up and I was about to place them back when I felt a slight shove forced onto my back. I tripped and fell right through the island in the kitchen. I shook my head and slowly stood back up. I picked up the pots and put them back where they belonged. I had no idea what was happening, but I wasn't enjoying it.
I saw one of the ceramic plates slide across the island out of the corner of my eye. I turned around and picked it up. I walked over to the cupboard it belonged in and I was shoved again, but instead of falling I kept my grip, just not on the plate. It shattered right at my feet.
"Faen!" I hopped onto the counter and stared at the glass like it was going to fly towards me. Just as I thought things were settled, one final shove sent me face-first into the broken plate. Thank hell I was already in my shadow form. Unfortunately, I felt that fall.
"Hadha yakfi 'antuma alathnan (That's enough you two)." I dizzily looked up, an unfamiliar accent ringing in my ears. As glad as I was I didn't have glass shards sticking out of my face, I still felt the fall, which was a pretty good blow that definitely knocked my senses off.
A blurry figure appeared above me. It didn't look like Vladamir. Blurred, it looked like Lucifire but a male. I lifted my head up to get one final look at the figure and then fell unconscious.
