As I paced in my cell, I heard the door unlock and a guard holding a tray of food entered.
"Only you again Bobby?" I smirked. I knew it was going to be only him, he made sure of it. Before becoming a delinquent, he started having an innocent crush for me, I guess after my crime that didn't change. I took advantage of that, and lead him into thinking I had feelings back.
"Of course," He replied. He pulled me into a hug, but I kneed him in the stomach, and bashed his head with my elbow. He fell unconscious, and I sighed while looking at the open door.
"You were too naive Bobby." Rolling my eyes, I took his key card, and closed the door behind me. One by one, I started opening cell doors, telling the fellow delinquents to meet me at the closest drop ship. I was going to get my people to earth.
I got at least 100 people out but, alarms started to go off as I opened the last door. I looked into it and saw a girl with long dark hair, and sad eyes. She sat in a corner, her knees tucked into her chest, and arms around her legs. I stuck out my hand,
"Come on kid, let's go back home." I tried to smile. She grabbed my hand, and rushed the hell out of there.
"I have a brother!" She cried, "Please, can we bring him too?" I stopped, and raised an eyebrow. I knew exactly who she was now. Octavia blake. Her mother was floated, all because of her birth. I shook my head.
"We don't have time to look, we need to go now!" I gripped her hand and started running again . Guards appeared in front of us, my father behind them.
"Artemis, don't!" He demanded. I look near the wall, and grabbed a hall chair.
"Move," I looked at the two guards in front of me, "Or I will beat all of you with this chair til you fall unconscious." None of them moved. "Fine." I let go of Octavia's hand, and ran toward the guards. I swung at the first one, hitting his side, pushing him to the wall. The other tried to hit my side with his batton, but I dodged and hit his throat with the edge of the back of the chair, making him stumble back and coughing. When they moved aside, I threw the chair at Kane, grabbed Octavia's hand again, and sprinted off. We reached the drop ship and entered. I closed the doors behind all of us.
"Everyone buckle up now!," I yelled. When I heard the numerous clicking of seat belts stop, I pushed the button to launch, and we were off.
