I quickly run over to the empty dock, I lift my arm to my face and check my watch. I notice that Ada is late, I told her to be here on time. I watch as the watch moves little by little from the seconds hand. I watch the wind shift towards me, making my dyed hair flow by my eyes. I remember why I dyed it, it was for a change of pace. I then hear a boat on the water, fighting the waves.
I look up and see a boat far away, coming near me. I start seeing the boat come closer, I look down and take note of what I have. Just in case if anything happens, I start to looks around. Making sure no one is around, the wind stops blowing. Now everything is still.

I snap out of my trance and hear the boat pull into the dock, I look up and see Ada turn off the boat quickly. She tilts her head towards me, I run over and hop in. I take the seat next to her and calm down, she looks over to me. I nod to her, she starts up the boat. She pulls out and turns the boat around, we head straight until she breaks the silence.
(Ada)- "Sorry I'm late, I just had to make sure of something."
(Y/N)- "And that is?" She looks at a nearby bridge and takes a sharp left. I hold on, and notice how fast she's going.
(Ada)- "The location of course, we have a long way to go. Might take a few hours." I look at her and scoff, knowing it's a few hours away from turning night. "Don't worry, I have food and drinks under that latch."
(Y/N)- "Never seen you this prepared, anyway's where are we going?" She looks over to me, and smirks, she looks back to the ocean and continues driving.
(Ada)- "Seattle, turns out a virus broke out in one of the area's. Not sure how bad it is, but it just happened."
(Y/N)- "Is it one that has a cure?" I watch her shake her head no, I look at the side of the boat and then look back to her. "It's new isn't it?"
(Ada)- "I'm not sure, it just happened minutes ago. I'm sure when we arrive, it'll all be fixed." I nod and look off into the ocean, seeing it get darker and darker.
(Time Skip, 2 hours in)
I get up and carefully go over to the latch behind me, I reach and lift up the latch and open it. I grab a warm water bottle and lift it out. I slowly close the latch, I then stand and walk over to my seat. When I almost reach it, I see Ada's boat light shine on something.
(Ada)- "Hold on!" once she said that I felt the boat thump up, making me lose my balance. I fall down and slide down to the boat. I hold on to the seat by the end of the boat, I hold on and see my water bottle fall into the water. "There's something on us!"
I look back and see a giant fish, not a shark. It was a needle fish mutated, I watch as more needles sprout out of it's body. It hits the boat, making me shift and fall back a bit. I reach up and try to reach the seat with my left hand, until the boat thumps again. I lose my grip and slide down to the latch.
I grab it , seeing it open a bit.
(Y/N)- "It would be nice, if you could lose this big tuna!" She grunts and takes a sharp left, into a dock nearby. We start to go under the dock's since our boat was smaller than them. We lose the fish for a bit, I start climbing up.
(Ada)- "Are you alright?" I sigh, and I put my body onto the nearest seat. I then see the fish again, but behind us, destroying other docks we passed.
(Y/N)- "Not anymore, it's still coming!" I watch Ada, crank the speed up. I hold onto my seat, seeing the fish still tailing us.
I grab my pistol on my thigh and aim it at the fish, my hand struggles to stay still seeing the fish create more tides toward us. I finally steady my aim and shoot at it, seeing no difference. I then look up and see all the docks with metals holding it up by a bolt. An idea pops in my head, I aim up at the bolt and shoot it.
I then see all the metals collapse, onto the fish. Seeing it get hurt and more slower, I notice the dock above us were breaking too. I quickly turn around and see an opening.
(Y/N)- "See that opening, turn right as soon as possible." I see her nod, I start holding onto the seat, seeing the fish keep getting hit. I hold up my gun and shoot it one last time, it goes through his head.
It stops and get's crushed by the remaining metals, I feel a slight turn making me shift right. I hold on, once we're out I see the docks crash on top of the fish. I huff out of exhaustion, I look back to Ada, seeing her expression in the side mirror relax. I climb up back to the seat and quickly sit, I face palm and groan.
(Ada)- "Didn't think it would start this early" I look over, and roll my eyes.
