Homecoming Hours (BOOK 4) {COMPLETED}

At Peace (End)

I roll backward and stand up, seeing his yellow bright eyes staring into mine. I look around and see if any citizens are around to notice or care. Although sadly enough everyone is asleep, I already know if I shoot, everyone will be alarmed. I run along my driveway seeing the car tires empty of air, knowing he's the one who cut my wheels. I start to hear a loud thump, I flinch hearing his body fall onto my grass.

I quickly start to panic, the virus is stronger than I suspect. I watch as he gets up and look around, not knowing whether to run or yell. I check how much ammo I have, I inhale and turn around. I then feel his hand grasp at my neck, I hold onto his wrists for air. He then pulls me close, and presses his lips to my ear.

(Mark)- "Where did you think you would run off to? I am the dominant one in this relationship, you understand." He backs away from my ear, staring at my eyes. I watch as his eyes flashes a bright yellow.

I choke and feel pressure build, I close my eyes and swing my arm hitting his wrist. He lets go and drops me, I roll back and aim my gun at him. I watch as the wind covers up one of my eyes, I stare as he fixes himself. He claps his hands, I shoot at him multiple times, he still walks forward. I watch my body tenses, I drop the gun, seeing a helicopter fly in. 

(Y/N)- "There was never a real relationship between you and me." I watch as he steps forward multiple times, before he gets jumped on by men. 

I look down, seeing my pistol in my grass. I look up seeing him yelling for me, watching as cuffs get put on him. He wonders how they could hold him, I hold up a bullet, it's the cure for me. He'll be returning back to normal very soon. I hear a car pull up, I watch Leon quickly get out of the car and run towards me.

He crashes into me, with a heartfelt hug. I play with his hair, not wanting for him to let go. He backs off me, he lifts my chin. I chuckle and watch Mark yell out for me, the plan worked.

(Leon)- "I was so worried, that the plan would fail." I turn around, seeing him go into shock, he gets lifted onto the helicopter.

(Y/N)- "He's injected, we're safe for now. His body will be numb, he might still have his powers though." I turn back to him, he smiles and pats my head.

(Leon)- "Hearing the things he would say, geez...I wanted to punch the guy. Glad you put that wire on."

(Y/N)- "I think it's time to move my stuff next you yours." I smirk and he gives me a light chuckle.

(Time Skip)

I grab the last box from my car and struggle to carry it, I lift my foot above the shallow step. I grunt and walk through the glass door. I walk to the kitchen and feel arms wrap around me, I watch as Leon takes the box away from my grasp. I scratch my temple watching him gently place the box on the counter.

He turns to me, I smile and turn to look around at the place. I then feel his arms wrap around my torso. We both stay silent looking at the empty but peaceful room, I feel him kiss lightly on my head. I smile and turn around to face him, I finally feel at peace. I watch as he leans in, I push my body against him trying to get closer. 

We both hear a car pull up to the door, I back away and look at him staring. Not wanting to leave my side, I let go and so does he. I tap and rub his back leading him to the door, we both stand looking out the door, seeing a man step out waiting for him.

(Leon)- "Wait for me, do some gardening with the flowers Ada gave you." I nod and watch his palm touch the door knob, I quickly grab his face and kiss him. I feel his arm ride up my back, he goes deeper into the kiss. I back off and open the door for him.

(Y/N)- "I'll be here, waiting for your return." I watch him turn around and smile, watching it fade as he goes into the car. Usually I'm sad, but knowing that he'll come back while I'm not trying to die on a mission is comforting. I close the door and look at the clock pass a minute. "Time starting now."
