A/N: This story takes place directly after the events of Destroyed Beauty. It's what happens to Loki when Sigyn is taken to Earth, and just a small sample of what the Prince endured at the hand of his adoptive father.
Song inspiring this story:
"I still feel your breath on my skin
I hear your voice deep within
The sound of my lover
A feeling so strongIt's to you
I'll always belong"- I'll Always Return by Bryan Adams from "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron"

"NO! Please, let me save her! She needs me!"
But his cries fell on deaf ears as the guards marched him towards the dungeons. He pulled against the guard's arms in vain, still too weak from his attempts to heal Sigyn. His eyes caught the figures of Hogun, Volstagg and Sif standing near a familiar cell.
"Hogun, please... I have to save her." His eyes pleaded with one of the only warrior's three who seemed to like him with Sigyn. Hogun eyes shifted slowly away, almost embarrassed by his own actions. Sif stared at Loki, dumbfounded that he would even dare ask for help from them.
"It is your actions and your actions alone that landed you here Loki and she fatally wounded. Do not act as if it is our fault that you have landed yourself here. Lock the door."
Sif snarled, watching as the guards tossed the Prince into the cell and locked the door as they were instructed. Standing slowly, he summoned the energy he had left and blasted it towards the door, screaming as he did.
"Loki, stop this madness! You cannot break through the doors." Volstagg bellowed, walking closer to the glowing force field that kept him bound to his cell.
The God of Mishcief ignored the warning though, and sent another blast of energy at the door, however this time, the force caused him to be flung back and hit the opposite shimmering cell wall; he let out another estranged cry. Lying on the ground, he groaned in pain as he attempted to move again, smoke seeming to come off of him as his outfit had been singed from being thrown into the force field.
Volstagg, Hogun and Sif looked on in confusion as the door was not known to have that effect before, but their question was answered when Odin's loud booming voice came up from behind them.
"The cell has been reinforced to confine my... to confine Loki. See to it that he is prepped for questioning immediately."
The guards, Volstagg, Hogun and Sif saluted the All-Father as he left, heading down a hallway that was all too familiar to many of the prisoners in the dungeons. One of the remaining guards handed a pair of handcuffs and a muzzle to Volstagg. Nodding, he walked towards the cell and waited till the guards opened the door. Once inside, he placed the muzzle and handcuffs on Loki before fastening it to a chain that was attached to the back wall.
Loki stared, hardly moving at all, as if he had already succumb to his punishment. Volstagg's eyes held pity for his former friend, someone he had come close to supporting and caring for once again as they had when they were children. Exiting the cell he looked to Hogun and then Sif.
"Are we doing the right thing? I know we should not go against the All-Father, but Thor was adamant that Loki had changed, because of... because of Lady Sigyn."
"We do as we're told Volstagg, no matter what our friends may think." Sif replied, setting her jaw as she eyed Loki just over Volstagg's shoulder.
