As Long As I Have You

~ Chapter Sixteen ~

"Please."

"Not here. Not like this."

He tried to save her before and she wouldn't let him. But everything was different now. She wanted to be free of the chains she wrapped around herself so long ago, and she knew he could be the one to free her.

"Please," she whispered again. "I've pushed you away too many times."

"It's too soon."

"It's been too long," she countered. "Save me — even just a piece of me."

He growled into her mouth and insisted she would forgive him. He was sure of it.

"Prove it," she whispered against his lips, and giggled.

Blackness came for her until she was pulled down to his fathomless cloud, and an earthy moan against her skin melted the chains away.

She begged for his touch amidst endlessly swirling sensations and without warning an explosion burst forth from deep inside of her. She was torn into a million pieces, and the only thing that anchored her to the earth was the throaty voice that clung to her skin and brought her shattered being back to whole...
