Chapter 4: Loyalty

"so... did you come from the private school to?" Ethan asked Izzy. "no i didn't go to the school if that's what your asking, but yes i did come from there with Jordan. I was at the mall when it all went down. i started heading south looking for more people as soon as my parents..." She started to tear up so Ethan gave her a big hug telling her everything would be okay.

They stopped to rest at a used to be fast food restaurant, and James went to sit down beside Ethan and Izzy who were chatting quietly about re-populating earth. "well  i think that yea people usually shouldn't have kids this early but were gonna have to start re-populating if we ever want to succeed on this new earth." Ethan said in a matter of factually tone.

suddenly Brooke came over and told James it was getting dark soon and they should probably get going."good idea." James said. Brooke started to walk away but James grabbed her arm."hey sorry i never got to introduce myself, i'm James." "um, hi i'm Brooke." She said "that's a pretty name." said James. "thank you." Brooke said blushing at the compliment.

"James..." Damian said from the front of the group. There were people starting to appear on the road in front of them."hello?" James shouted from the other side of the street. A kid ran over to them saying his name was "blood". " I'm from the museum. i was sent to look for more kids to join us. y'all interested?" The boy said.The kids considered it until finally Ethan stepped forward and stated with a sad expression on his face that him and Izzy were going to join them. "Ethan please don't leave us." Damian said, almost ready to cry. "you guys... me and Izzy are planning on having kids and we cant be constantly moving around so... we've made our decision..." Ethan said.
James just stared sadly at him as him and Izzy walked away with the other kids."James please stop him." Damian pleaded. "I cant make his decisions for him Damian! If you want him so badly get him yourself!" James said, angry and sad at the same time. Damian hesitated but than decided to stop talking.
