Ruby and Sapphire Oneshots

Compulsive-Part 1

So it's been a minute, but I was working and I'm back in school...and COVID... ANYWAY, I got this idea from this anime called Kakegurui, so which one is compulsive...

*Choice Poker is a game from Kakegurui.

The Tiger's Eye Casino....Where you go to bet it all. It's a unique site. It's mostly the top of the ranks: high ranking government officals, socialites, movie stars and singers... a few athletes.

"Welcome to Tiger's Eye Casino," I hear over the intercom,"Where you come to bet it all. Tonight's featured games are: Choice Poker* and Gin Rummy. Remember debts must be paid by one of the following methods..."

"Hello Ms. Fire. Would you like your usual," an attendant asked.

"Sure.Any new games," I inquired.

"None this week. But you have been requested to play a game with one of the council."

"Really? Which one?"
"I'm not sure. I was just told to give you this card and a room number."

I took the card and my tray of chips. Walking off, I made my way to the elevator. A private game with a Council member was a double edge sword. On one hand, you may be replacing one of them should you win. On the other, you could be discussing debts owed and how to pay them off. Debts was something I rarely had. Normally it was less than $500,000, but I did rack up some during Fight weeks, but I know for fact I paid that off. I opened the card and it read 'You've been selected. Please come to Room 303 to discuss your debt to Tiger Eye's Casino.'

"The following are indebted to the Tiger Eye's Casino: Xavier Johnson with $329,000;Samantha Lockitt with $724,800; Christiana Long with $980,100; Riley King with...."

"Samantha just paid off her debt, can you get this to the office?"

I look over to see a woman in a dark blue dress. She was handing over a beige folder to  an attendant and looked over. One eye was showing but you could see it was blue like her gown. Her blond hair bouncing as she walked over to me.

"You must be Ruby Fire. I heard so much about you. I'm Sapphire."
"Sapphire...?"

"Just Sapphire...for now.Come in."

"So...you're Samantha's creditor..."

"Well...yes. I'm new to the Council."

"You must be pretty good then. But I'm sure I'm better."
Sapphire giggled as she closed the door behind her."Well, I guess we have to find that out. Now I have a few ideas thrown around,but you know the rules. Any new game or variation of an existing game must be tested. That's quite the suit. What exactly do you do for a living?"
I had a puzzled look on my face, she was a council member. Every person who walks in this casino have to fill out an application as it is an elite casino, used for charity games and fundraisers. Every person who walked through those doors was sent an invite before joining.

" I thought you knew, being a co--"

"Yes, yes, but what exactly do you do? You're an MMA fighter. What's your style? Your workout routine and sponsors?"

"Oh..you have a debt game in mind," I said, things finally clicking.

"Yes, well, sort of. An associate of yours used your ID number to play a few games and racked up quite the debt."

"And what does that have to do with me?"
"Well, because it was racked up with your ID, you have a chance to fix it."

Sapphire sat down across from me. Her long, brown leg revealed through the slit in her dress.
