Part 4

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

Your alarm clock told you it was time to get up.

"ugh..." you groaned.

The clock read 7am. Wait... you just remembered you had your date with Reece this afternoon.

"Oh shoot, what am I going to wear? I still have to go to class, and I have no time to change after" you exclaimed. "Oooh! I'll wear this!"

You pulled out your favourite pair of dungarees, a long-sleeved black and white stripy t-shirt and your favourite pair of converse. Comfortable and cute at the same time. You decided your makeup was going to be quite simple, light brown eyeshadow, mascara, eyebrows and a nude lipstick. You never owned much makeup anyway.

Within 20 minutes, you were ready to go to your first lesson.

"Good morning Y/N. So... are you ready for this afternoon?" Michaela said.

"Good morning. Yeah I think so, I'm quite nervous but I think I'll be ok. He's a really nice guy too." You sighed.

"Aww, well I wont see you until this evening, so have fun! And remember, don't do anything dirty!" Michaela smiled.

"Oh my god Michaela! I've met this guy once how many times do I have to tell you!" You laughed.

"Haha, see you later"

"See you later Michaela." You said as you embraced her in a tight hug.

As you walked to your English class, you pictured your ex-boyfriend in your head, and you remembered what he did to you. What if Reece was going to be the same? What if Reece was going to hurt you like your ex did? You shook your head as if to shake the bad thoughts away.

"Not all men are like him, Reece is different, I know." You told yourself.

A few hours had passed, as you had your maths, English, and art classes. Suddenly, you remembered that you had your date with Reece tonight.

"Shoot, I forgot!" You gasped, as you checked the time on your phone.

4:57pm your phone read.

"Phew, not too late." You exhaled, as you started to walk towards the park. You knew where you were meeting Reece, the spot where there was a long winding river, with the skyline in the background, the place where you guys met. You sat down on a bench as you nervously waited for Reece.

10 minutes had passed and there was no sign of Reece.

"Oh god please don't say he bailed on me..." You sighed, sadly.

As you went to message him to ask where he was, Betty was seen running towards you.

"Oh my goodness! Hey Betty!" You cried with excitement.

"Hey Y/N!" You heard a northern voice say.

"Reece, hey..." You said, stunned.

He wore a turquoise t shirt, which was tucked into his black jeans, and a pair of white adidas trainers. He looked stunning.

"You look... nice!" He said.

"Oh, thank you!" You exclaimed, taken aback by his compliment. Reece was clearly just as nervous as you were, you could tell because he kept playing with Betty's lead

"You look... incredible..." You laughed.

"Aww thank you." He smiled.

"So, should we head off to the café or..." He chuckled, noticing you were still staring at him.

"Oh, um... sorry. Yes, we should be heading off..." You said. Reece started to put the lead on Betty as you got a head start.

"I'm so stupid, I'm so stupid..." You muttered under your breath.

You turned around to see Reece, staring directly at you, with a small smile on his face.

"What?" You smiled.

"Just admiring you that's all..." Reece said.

Suddenly, you felt his hand slip into yours. Happiness filled your body as his hand fit perfectly into yours. After that moment, Reece turned and started to walk towards the café, hand still in yours. You knew that evening was probably going to be one to remember.
