Part 18

The moment was over too soon. He pulled away and looked back into your eyes.

"I don't like seeing you upset..." He said, softly. He brushed his thumb over your cheeks to dry your tears. You weakly smiled back at him.

"What did I do to deserve someone like you..." You replied. Reece smiled back at you.

"Do you want to come back to mine for a little while? If you don't want to go back to your apartment, that is." Reece asked. "We could watch movies and eat? I have nothing planned."

"Lucky for me, I don't have anything planned either. And the last thing that I want is to go back to the apartment. So, count me in!" You said with a smile.

"Perfect, let's go." Reece took your hand as you both stood up.

"Wait, what about your parents and your sister? Do they know about us?" You asked, suddenly worried.

"My dad is down south for work purposes, and my mum and younger sister have gone out this morning. They should be gone for about two hours or so."

"Oh ok cool." You replied.

You both walked to Reece's house. You were quite nervous, and you didn't know why.

A few minutes later, you were at his house. Reece unlocked the door, and you were greeted by Betty at the door.

"Hello again!" You chuckled. You crouched down to stroke Betty.

"Come on Betty!" Reece said, as he jogged into the living room. The living room looked extremely cosy, it even has a fireplace!

"Do you want me to give you a house tour?" Reece asked, after saying hello to Betty.

"Of course!" You said.

Reece showed you around, to the kitchen, the bathroom, his parents and sister's bedrooms, and of course, his bedroom.

"And this, right here." Reece jumped onto his bed. "Is my bedroom."

"Are you a big Beatles fan?" You asked, spotting the posters around his room.

"The Beatles are my inspiration!" Reece replied with a smile.

"I just happen to love The Beatles myself!" You said.

"No way! That's incredible!" Reece exclaimed.

After a long discussion about The Beatles, you both decided to have a Disney movie marathon. Reece had a TV in his bedroom, so you decided it would be best to cuddle on his bed whilst watching the movies on the TV. You lay on his chest, and he put his arm around your shoulders, you could hear his heartbeat and it beat in sync with yours. You both started with Tangled, and went on to watch The Lion King, and Toy Story. As you started to watch Toy Story 2, Reece heard keys in the front door. He quickly got up and looked out of his window. Turns out his mum and sister were home.

"Y/N, my mum is home..." Reece said with panic in his voice.

"Oh shoot." You quickly got up. "How am I supposed to get out?"

"Can you climb through a window?" Reece laughed.

"It's my only option, I'm going to have to try!" You laughed.

Luckily, in Reece's bedroom, there was a little roof below his window, so you could stand on the roof and easily drop down. You carefully climbed up onto his windowsill and opened his window.

"You good?" Reece asked, laughing.

"I think so..." You put one leg out of the window and down onto the roof. Reece took hold of you to keep you from falling.

"Ok, I'm good." You smiled. "I'll speak to you later?"

"Definitely." Reece replied, quickly pecking you on the lips. "See you later."

You steadily dropped down onto the roof and climbed down. You somehow managed to safely get down without harming yourself. You turned back around to Reece smiling and waving from his window. You waved back and started to run away from his house, just in case you got caught. You wondered what the time was, so you pulled out your phone. You saw you had so many messages from Michaela. One of the messages really caught your eye. You opened Messages on your phone, and you saw something that broke your heart...

A picture of Charlie and Reece, together. Charlie had clearly posted it on his Instagram from a few nights ago. You were stunned. You couldn't move. Emotion overwhelmed you as you threw up into a nearby bush. A couple who were walking their dog gave you dirty looks, as they walked quicker past you. You felt embarrassed. Ashamed. Hopeless. You ran. Far away as possible, until you felt you couldn't run any further. You found yourself back in the park, and you ran towards the cafe. There were toilets in the back that were very rarely used, so you ran into the closest stall and cried... You felt like you just couldn't escape from him. He was always lurking around you like your shadow. You didn't know what to do anymore...
