DEMONSDEMONSDEMONSDEMONSDEMONSDEMONSDEMONS

Battle training was Rin's best subject. Of course, he was only this good because he used to fight a lot, but no one needed to know that if they weren't asking.

Rin had only ever successfully pulled his weapon from his gem once–when he'd gotten his gem. He'd been afraid of pulling it out since. With a gem came the paranoia of people finding out where his gem was so they could crack it. On the scale of durability–Diamonds being a ten, the most durable gem to exist– Sapphires were just below them at a nine. But Rin also had a tendency to mess things up a lot, so he'd probably find some way to crack his own gem accidentally without anyone else's help.

Once again, he was paired up with Suguro, but that was fine with Rin. He'd been wanting to deck Ruby since he'd met him. All they'd learned in this class so far were pins and takedowns.

"Alright, first, you will show me what moves you already know, if any. I've paired you up based on body type and gem compatibility. First up, Okumura and Suguro!" The teacher, Yunokawa, announced.

The two stepped into the mat set out. "The rules are simple. Don't step off the mat unless you want an automatic loss. All foul play is allowed, but no weapons. Go!"

Rin rushed Suguro as soon as the word left the teacher's mouth. The guy obviously wasn't prepared for it. He also wasn't prepared for the right hook, knee to the stomach, and roundhouse kick to the head combo Rin gave him. It was incredibly satisfying for the Sapphire. He had the arrogant gem on the floor in six seconds flat.

"Stop!" Yunokawa called. "Nice job Okumura. You've obviously got some experience in this field, at least." He commented.

"You took every advantage you had. So instead, I'll pair you with me to see how you hold up. Everyone else, pair off and start with basic moves. Don't try anything fancy like Okumura just did, please. I'd like to have only one K.O. in my class per day, thank you." The man told them.

With that, battle training began. It was probably the only class Rin could pass with a perfect score. He knew how to fight, but the reason behind it was shameful. People always saw he was stronger than them and challenged him as he was growing up. Once they realized no one person could take him down, they'd started ganging up on him. He learned very quickly how to fight several people at once. This training was almost too easy.

Rin learned street fighting, but used technique he'd learned over the years to make it work. Yunokawa was a trained Gem Warrior and was likely taught in a class just like this years ago.

Rin feigned a right hook and caught the teacher in the stomach with a left hook. He ducked an elbow from the man and instead slid between his legs to behind the teacher. He flipped so he was standing on his hands and caught Yunokawa's head between his feet as his tail wrapped around Yunokawa's shoulders to help support the grip, picking him up with sheer strength alone and slamming him down on the floor on the other side of him.

Rin had him pinned on the floor in twenty seconds.

"You're amazing at this, kid. I won't ask where you learned, but I do have something in mind for you." Yunokawa tapped out, grinning.

"How the hell did you do that?!" Suguro demanded.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Rin smirked.

"That was awesome! Who taught you?" Shima threw an arm around Rin's shoulders with a wide grin.

"No telling." Rin smiled at the Citrine.
