Rin and Shiemi had been friends since the beginning of the year, but they got along amazingly.

"Hey, Okumura! Noriko's not here, so we gotta switch things up some. You and Moriyama get along good, so you dance with her today." Kirigakure told him. Rin nodded and gave Suguro an apologetic look before going to Shiemi. The Ruby seemed upset at losing Rin's company, but didn't mind dancing with Shima.

Rin and Shiemi settled into an easy Bolero of sorts. They giggled and twirled each other around a lot. Shiemi told Rin about things she'd thought as a child, like how if you kissed someone, you were automatically pregnant. Rin told her what Shiro told him happened: A mommy and a daddy had lots of special hugs and after nine months, a baby would pop out. They had a good laugh at that one.

Shiemi was easy to be with. She was sweet, and shy, and silly. She reminded Rin of a flower. Gentle, always bright, but strong enough to reach for the sun to live. He wished they could've grown up together. They could've been even better friends than they were now.

Rin didn't even notice the glowing from his Sapphire and Shiemi's Peridot.

Teal Topaz blinked in confusion.

"Oh." She said surprised. "We fused."

Then she squealed in delight.

"We did it! Haha!" She pumped her fists in the air.

Teal Topaz was very clearly a 'she', looking at her chest and style of uniform, not to mention the pleasant lilt of her sift but clear voice.

Her uniform was very feminine–a short, strapless teal dress with a sweetheart neckline that stopped just above the knees. The skirt was layered so it looked decently poofy. Teal open-toed heels matched the dress. Her hair was long and wavy and in a half-up hairstyle. Said hair was a gentle pastel teal.

She was beautiful like a flower was–soft features and bright colors. Her eyes were gentle and she had a kind smile. It was like the best parts of Rin and Shiemi  put together in a ray of pure sunshine.

Everyone stared.

"I'm starting to wonder if I should just pair everyone with Okumura. That kid's got some great compatibility...." Shura grumbled.

"You're a Topaz, right?" Shura asked.

The fusion nodded. "Yes. Teal Topaz." The Gem answered. She was shorter than the Tourmaline by a few centimeters.

"I'm not surprised those two fused. They're two happy-idiot peas in a pod." Suguro admitted.

Shima snickered. "Can't deny that."

"People like Moriyama have very good compatibility because of their personalities. People like Okumura tend to only fuse with a small circle of people they consider close to them. So listen up kids." Kirigakure turned to the rest of the teenagers.

"You better treat her as good as she treats you. And you better watch his back and care about him like he cares about you. These two are good comrades to have with you. They're stronger than any of you. Take some notes, while you're at it." She finished her speech and turned back to Teal Topaz, who'd been watching the light reflect off the teal gem on her hand as she rotated it in the light coming from the windows. Kirigakure winced. This one may be a bit ditzy.

"Good job, you guys. Try dancing with Shima now." She told Teal Topaz.

The Tourmaline wanted to try something. Rin and Shiemi were very compatible and Shima was cool with both of them. Maybe they'd make an even stronger fusion?
